Help needed!! go2mobi - volumm
Hi guys,
got a message from go2mobi regarding the redirect link in my offers and were told that i can control it though my tracking software. Told my AM but was told that they received the campaign just the way it is. This is the reply from go2mobi.
"
Thanks for following up. The redirects are due to the link you are using, not the campaign set up. Your affiliate manager should be able to turn off the redirects in your link, but you may also have control over this through your tracking software.
If you can get out-of-geo and untargeted-device traffic to go to a generic site like google.com or the offer itself, then we will be able to approve your campaign

"
I have a few qns and hope you guys can help.
1st. Does using landingpage helps to control over this ?
2nd. If this was the case that means i can't use direct linking for this offer?
3rd. How do i control it using Volumm as my tracking system.
Thanks in advance

You probably ran into a problem with fallback offers that your affiliate network has setup for traffic that doesnt match the offer requirements. So for example they ask for Vodafone traffic, and when you send them Orange, the visitors will be redirected to a different offer that might be against the rules of your traffic source.
Ask your AM if its possible to turn of fallback redirects. If not, you can do what the go2mobi rep suggested, configure the campaign in Voluum to send unwanted traffic to google
You will need to configure rules in Voluum - you will find them at the bottom of the campaign setup window - "+ Add rule". First you need to figure out what kind of traffic gets redirected, any idea?
LP will not help here, its about where the click will get redirected at the end. At least thats how it should be, maybe it will get approved with an LP already, if you hit a lazy reviewer
Once you have it sorted out, you can still directlink it, but the rules have to be in place first.

This is the first email from go2mobi, is it desktop traffic that gets redirect? Hopes its not too newbie answer!
"For this campaign to be approved, the redirects for untargeted traffic need to be shut off. Right now, desktop rendering leads to a "your computer has a fatal error" page that is obviously non-compliant."
Btw i've read Traffic Types Definition - #1 - POPS, a very good articles for newbies like me to understand more about POPS and to start POPS. Hope to see more of these guides

Yup, based on their reply it is desktop traffic that gets redirected. For this you should use the rule "device type" in
Voluum. If its a mobile offer, redirect everything that IS NOT mobile phones to google.com or something. Also make sure that you are only buying mobile traffic from them in the first place.
Glad to hear you liked the guide, more are coming for sure
