How not to get banned from Facebook? (8)

How not to get banned from Facebook?

I ran a very white hat offer on Facebook last year which did very well. Not an affiliate offer but my own.
Somehow I still got banned after only 2-3 weeks. Since I had some issues with my distribution center,
a lot of customers did not receive their products in time. I am guessing they might have complained to Facebook
and this is why my account was banned.

Now I'm going to try it again but want to make sure I don't get banned this time.

In short (one or two paragraphs or sentences), how do you not get banned on Facebook?
Maybe easier to answer these:

1. If something is allowed on Adwords, would that also mean it would be allowed on Facebook too?

2. Who are tougher against direct marketers, Google or Facebook? (in terms of excessive claims etc)

3. Anything else to think about when advertising on Facebook?

I don't know about Google, but it's really hard not to get banned on Facebook while running affiliate offers. You either have to be running 100% whitehat campaigns with volume, know someone from Facebook, or have a way to get more accounts.

Always.

Be.

Cloaking.

Get a good spy tool to see how exactly are your competitors doing it. (do they use URL shorteners, page boost campaign, clicks to website etc)
p/s: if you need a spy tool PM me.

The thing about advertising on FB is it's 100% at their discretion.

What are you promoting? What vertical?

1) mostly! https://www.facebook.com/policies/ads/

2) adwords is strict but very predictable, while FB seems to be more bitchy.

3) FB shuts down your account if you receive lots of negative feedback on your ads. avoid aggressive ad copys and give the people what the expect after clicking your ad.

If you are running very white hat, consumer friendly offers especially at high volumes, there is no reason why you should get banned unless you do something silly. Facebook will even give some incredibly generous payment terms. As for your questions.

1. If something is allowed on Adwords, would that also mean it would be allowed on Facebook too?

No, each have their own policies. Ignore them at your own risk

2. Who are tougher against direct marketers, Google or Facebook? (in terms of excessive claims etc)

There is nothing against direct marketing per se from either of these platform. Many of the largest advertisers on each of these platforms are branded but direct advertisers.

3. Anything else to think about when advertising on Facebook?

Lots. This would require a lot more than a post.
