Which ones have more high quality pubs/less bot traffic?
Taboola/Outbrain/Gemini
Usually the harder the approval process, the higher the traffic quality ... not just on native but most other traffic sources.
What's the google network called, i've seen it but i don't remember what they call it
Taboola/outbrain/gemini/disqus
I would advice you to be careful with MGID.
MGID have a lot of bot traffic guys beware! Optimize FTW
GDN Native is just a beta within GDN. It's not actually like a new network.
GDN Especialy Their Native Ads / matched content. The train you don't want to miss
Taboola/outbrain/gemini/disqus are safer bets.
I actually think Gemini has a lot of bot traffic
Agreed, the partner traffic on gemini has plenty of bots.
Everyone has bot traffic. Its how traffic network owners print money.
What about RevContent?
What's wrong with rev
At least, Content.ad does have a automated way to credit back lots of their bot traffic, I had $130 credited back just for one day.
Revcontent, there is huge amount of them, but most of them are easy to identify.
The auto-clicker ones are harder, install mouseflow or hotjar and inspect those new widget ID, fun stuff what those robots do.
What work for me, I have a 'time to click' value on my tracker. If visitors from a widget ID consistently click to offer under 30sec/1 minute = blacklist.
It's all about optimization really.
Taboola, Outbrain, Disqus, and Gemini are pretty non-bot.
Revcontent, Content.Ad, and MGID you have to block widget ID's HOURLY!
I lost hundreds with these networks but when I learned how to optimize and block bad traffic sources I made thousands.
You should use common sense ... if the majority of publishers that a native network has are ones that you have never heard of or traffic arb farms and bids are a few cents a click, you should not expect Google search type traffic quality.
PM me. we have verified traffic. we push over 1.2 billion impressions a month (owned & operated properties) and have several native options. $8-12CPM.
Hey anyone running traffic on disqus? PM me lets chat!
Everyone you buy CPM traffic from has bot traffic, whether they deliberately filter it in and mingle it with their good traffic or whether its accidental, there is always some degree of bot traffic on every CPM traffic source
We are doing some work in the automated detection and blocking of bots and low quality placements especially on Native Ad networks and hope to be able to get this in the hands of our beta group soon.
With estimates saying that $7.5 to $10 Billion dollars being lost to fraud this year. It's really big deal and something you, as buyer, have to keep an eye on and aggressively manage.
As @cbrughmans and @iAmAttila said, some networks are intentionally allowing this, and others are not. But the end result is still a reduction of your ROI.
No matter what tracker you use, most native ad networks can give you the tokens required to instrument your stats to get the data you need to start blocking poor placements and sites. Make use of them, and stop wasting your hard earned cash on bot traffic.
