Using Own Creatives

Hey guys,

When creating your own banners/creatives in Photoshop, what is the best method of saving them? I've watched a few videos and have seen people do "Save for Web/Mobile" but have also noticed people just "exporting" as... GIF/PNG/JPEG.

I believe I have it right in that I need to 'slice' to make a Call to Action Button, and put in the correct URL where I want the viewer to be taken, but will that Call to Action be active in a PNG or JPEG file? Does the banner need to be saved as HTML and Images?

Lastly, I'm using Go2Mobi and I'm wondering if anyone has advice on which file type works best on their traffic or if it varies per exchange.

Thank you

You just save it as gif (animated) or jpeg (static), thats all you need. The whole banner will be linked, not just the CTA button. To be able to link just the CTA or other part of the banner, you would have to use iframes or html5 banners and the traffic sources will usually not let you use them. Its too risky for them so they only allow this to some large buyers on private deals or its their own campaigns.

Go2Mobi is a MDSP, selling ads from various ad exchanges so you will have to play by the rules of each exchange. Its impossible to tell which of them works best for what kind of creatives, you will need to test this
