Does Your Facebook Page Affect Conversions?

Hey guys,

So I launched my first FB campaign a couple days ago, and I got like $1 clicks at ~1.5% CTR for women 30y.o. demographics.

I just directly linked to the offer page, but I was curious do people look at your facebook page (which is mandatory to select when creating ads) that often? I never get new views.

The reason I am asking is to just get an idea if I should spend effort to get the fans up, etc... for "Social proof", so to speak.

My personal results so far are that some people share your ads, best case scenario, but they rarely look at your facebook page.

Incoan, I wouldn't worry about "social proof" aka getting a lot of likes on my page.

Focus on submitting better ads. Split test a lot of images - that's the first thing users see - your image has to be appealing, catching the attention.
Better your ad copy - split test headlines and call-to-action texts.

You should be aiming for a CTR above 5% on your ads. So... TEST TEST TEST

People don't look at the Facebook page in general. I got T&C's posted there regarding pin submits (to show FB I try to be compliant as f*ck). Not a single consumer checked it or commented on it. Also I use Facebook pages from scratch, without a single like! Likes, shares and mentions on the AD itself do effect CTR and CR eventually yes.

General rule is your FB Page doesn't matter that much except for a few things:

- If you use your page to promote an ad, then your page title and page profile image are placed on the top of your ad. This can creatively used to affect the perception of your ad and will affect your ad performance.
- If you build up a lot of likes for your page, you can start promoting ads directly to users for free. Not too effective though. I've had one page over 50k likes and just get under 5 conversions for a post to the users.
