Facebook Account Blocked (20)

Facebook Account Blocked

So I set up a new account, with a fake name and birthday etc., new email address and so on, because I didn't want to link my real fb account to the ad account.

I set up my first campaign and created an ad set with 3 identical ads like in Zeno's guide. As soon as I entered my card details and my ads were awaiting approval, the page asked me to refresh. I did that and I got logged out. Now I'm being asked for photo ID to log back in to my account.

I obviously can't provide this, since the account doesn't have my real name or birthday.

I guess I'll have to start again.... Has anybody encountered this? One thing I believe could be an issue is that I am logging in from Indonesia, since I have been here a whole bunch of stuff has been getting blocked due to fraud alerts. Next time I'll try using a VPN.

Just thought I'd check for any tips on this or experience?

Thanks

Use your real acct. Fb is pretty smart and will sniff out fake accts. Unless you are going to get into the whole acct farming madness, just do compliant ads on ur own acct

Okay thanks johnaff, what about just starting another account with my real name? That way I can just send in real ID. The thing is I can't afford to get my real FB account blocked - I use it for other business activities not to mention social.

I'm only planning to do white hat campaigns... But can I be completely sure about not losing my real account?

As for this run, do I now have to worry about the credit card I used being blocked from FB ads? What about the domain of my server?

Yes, use a different credit card and IP address if you ever want to get accepted.

You can never be sure that you won't get blocked, they are in control but if you are complying with their T&Cs you have the highest chance of not getting kicked out :-)

Thanks, I'm gonna do my best to comply, have you made it work with a newly created account?

If you want to do whitehat on FB, I think it's still ok to use your real name. You can create one account with your id card, one with your passport, one with your driving license,...

Instead of trying to get a completely new personal account running, create a business manager from your current account and start using that one. You may be able to request more accounts if you've got some decent traffic going.

Thanks for the replies.... hieu nguyen can you confirm this works okay... you didn't get deleted?

fbqueen... won't this still be linked to my personal account though, is there any risk there?

Thanks

All Business Managers are controlled (owned) by a personal FB account but a the BM is a nice sandbox for everything within.

If you get lots of accounts banned sure, they may go after your personal account, but it will be less likely than if you were trying to manage multiple personal accounts with proxies and so on.

The BM is there so that you can make multiple accounts/pages/etc to segregate advertising, use that to your advantage.

Thanks Zeno! Great info. I'll do that then. Like I say, I hope not to breach the TOS anyway but some of their guidelines are pretty vague, for example "misleading content" is very subjective and not easy to tell in advance what FB thinks is or is not misleading. I'm looking to plug a clickbank product which has some pretty bold claims in the offer page... although as far as I know they are not exactly false.... so just not sure.

Those personal FB reps dont know much.
We followed 100% what they told us and still lost our accounts.
Run clean stuff with low volume.

The FB reps are the sheep and Mark is the shepherd.
And we (the aff's) are the grass that gets all their poop.

The best genuine method to get FB account back is to contact the Winklevoss brothers.

Okay so I've set up with my regular account, 10 years old and all normal activity and friends. I got a message that "unusual activity" was detected when i set up first campaign now nothing has happened for 5 days although i submitted my ID that they asked for.

Any idea what to do? How long should this take?

Thanks

Firstly, you can't use the same card for FB advertising ever - again. So just call up the bank, report a lost card and get a replacement.

Next, using a VPN to access a fake Facebook account is another red flag so you should probably never do that again with your next account.

It will take about a week for the back-and-forth with Facebook. They will assign a risk manager to you, and he/she will be the one asking you for the specific documents they require to unsuspend your account. Usually, it's a photo ID which shows your date of birth, and also a copy of the credit card bill which has your address. This address has to match what you have on Facebook.

Unfortunately, I came across your thread too late, but the reason your real account was flagged again was most probably because you were using a commercial VPN service.

Hi acepower, thanks a lot. I'm still waiting with no reply from FB at all... I've submitted two appeals, contacted support who just basically told me what I already know and told me to submit an appeal which I had already done.

I think the reason that I got flagged was actually not the VPN it was that I'm in Indonesia. Paypal transactions have been blocked for the same reason several times, and so have multiple credit cards (I had to call one bank TWICE to unlock the same card in one week). I was in Thailand for three months before that with no issues at all. This country is a fraud hotspot and literally anything raises a flag.

Do you have any idea what I can do now that I'm just not getting a reply from FB? Thanks a lot
