Transitioning from pops to facebook. What are the differences that matters most?

Hi

I started slowly Facebook advertising. What part of the process is more important now comparing to pops? Can you share any tip to make my newbie fb life more easer?

Also some other questions:

1. Is better going "ron" or target specific interest on fb?
2. What is more important ad copy or image?
3. Is wise to test 2 adsets with same images and different texts or same text different images for the sake of testing?
4. What's your recommended testing proces?
5. What is most important thing to track with Voluum on fb?
6. How much time do i have to let running an ad before Facebook stars auto optimizing it?

Thank you all

I've just moved from pop to Facebook for one month, so I can only answer some of your questions

What part of the process is more important now comparing to pops?
Having the accounts ready.

1. Is better going "ron" or target specific interest on fb?
-> It depends on your angle and offer. Of course the bigger the audience, the cheaper the CPM you'll get.

2. What is more important ad copy or image?
-> I think ad image is more important.

3. Is wise to test 2 adsets with same images and different texts or same text different images for the sake of testing?
-> Sure, you have to test a lot of ad copies and images with Facebook.

6. How much time do i have to let running an ad before Facebook stars auto optimizing it?
-> I often let it run at least 1-2 days before making any change. FB needs time to optimize it.

Hi Hieu

Thank you for all the responses.

About point 6. -> I often let it run at least 1-2 days before making any change. FB needs time to optimize it.

So you leave the ads 1-2 days and then you start adding/cutting ads?

Thank you

Hello pronewbie,

I think that one of the most important things to have in mind when running ads on facebook is that not all the verticals are compliant within the network.

So try to follow the rules and you're not going to have any problems.

The hard parts about running on Facebook according to me are:
- getting accounts (if you are a naughty boy)
- being patient when FB does his job auto-optimizing.

Facebook has some amazing features you should get yourself familiar with if you want to make big bucks.
Use the FBPixel and take a look at Custom Audiences (protip: if you are pushing big volume, ask the advertiser for a list of existing customers to create such an audience).

Yeah i was big on pop before. Now all FB. The hardest part is account management. Its all about ad copy to get the lowest cpc. LP don't really matter too much, as long as you have a few proven lp that you ripped from spying.
