I'm just sifting through my networks finding a new offer to promote and I'm really noticing the $.01 offers. How do you even promote this without going in the red?


1) 3x the offer pay out is like 4 clicks.
2) Traffic costs what traffic costs, no matter what you're paying a minimum rate and if it's > the payout.. it's just over the payout.
3) It takes about the same amount of effort creating $0.20 payout campaigns vs $4+ offers...


What's the lowest paying offer you've ever made "notable" money with?

Wow! Are you sure those offers are active, and that they're payout amounts and not network EPCs?

If so then I agree with you. I can't see how it would be possible to make money from such a low payout...

Have you asked your AMs about them and whether or not other people are promoting them with success?

Very curious!

The lowest payout I've made money with was an Indonesian offer with a payout of $0.12.

Free traffic e.g. SEO/domain-typo/email/SMS-spam or you own an ad network and need something to fill out remnant spots.

I dont think I have seen a 0.01$ offers but I do know there are guys running good volumes on relatively low payouts. To most affiliates it will look like it cant be profitable but if you have your own source that you can throw these low payout offers at just to monetize some un-monetized traffic...

Some of these offers are relatively easy to convert and appeal to many people so getting a good CR with your free, un-monetized traffic can be worth it.

Here is your answer, you are looking at network EPCs, earnings per click, its not payout per conversion. Its pretty common to see EPCs like this for offers targeting cheap GEOs. Also keep in mind these are rounded numbers, so 0.01 can mean up to 0.0149 or 0.19 based on whether they actually round the numbers or just shift the decimals.

Yeah I thought about getting a few international offers and just using them as a generic back button fallbacks for certain campaigns.

Those $.01 - $.20 offers actually do convert and can make positive ROI on traffic. If you can find the right traffic (cheap traffic for all the cheap countries of the world) its possible. Most marketers wouldn't use it as their main traffic monetization, but I've ran traffic to payouts that low and made money on it so... Off the top of my head I know made profit on a $.07 payout. Not a lot of $$ but I'm just sharing it so people know theres a reason those offers are out there. They are just another way to monetize traffic. One of many options. I would say send your extra traffic to the monetizers and YTZs of the world, don't bother split testing $.05 offers when someone else has done it for you.

We need to clarify a few things here so we dont confuse new people, there are no offers paying 0.01 per conversion, at least I didnt see any like that so far. Its possible to find a deal where you could get paid by CPM, in such case you might still get conversions reported as the network has to report the earning to you somehow, but these are not conversions - these are usually fallback offers or the network simply has a CPM deal with some buyers and they share the income with you. The lowest payout per conversion that I personally used was 7 cents for a PIN submit conversion in Bangladesh I think and it was profitable for a while. So yes, its possible to make money with low paying offers but there is a breaking point too, I wouldnt bother with a $0.01payout offer even if it existed.
