How do you track/optimize Yahoo Gemini? (7)

How do you track/optimize Yahoo Gemini?

I launched a campaign on YG and it looks promising right from the beginning, I'm breaking even on it. With optimization I should make it profitable but it looks like I can't really optimize on YG, can anybody confirm this? I'm using their tracking tokens but they're not passing back much relevant information. Also I couldn't find a way to set up a blacklist.

So...back to my question, how do you track & optimize Yahoo Gemini? Or just let it rip and pray for the best?

Later Edit: I forgot to mention that I'm talking specifically about the Native side of Gemini.

If you're doing search then track the ads and the adgroups/kwds etc
You can track device etc. If you are doing native the only thing you can change manually are interests, geo, bids. I think the maon optimization is via their conversion tracking pixel but I am new to gemini native

Hey lolzap,

{device}, {network}, {creative}, {adid} are really the only dynamic macros that apply to Native... and you can't optimize for device anyway, and network only tells you N/S (native/search). Really the only one we use is {adid} and anything else we're tracking we have to enter it manually, but we automate with tools.

to optimize gemini you have to work with the other variables within the network: bidding, budgets, pixel & conversion events, ad's eCPM, campaign creation methods (how many adgroups per campaign, how many ads per adgroup, duplicates, etc...). Tons of different ideas/strategies to test here, definitely play around with these and I'm sure you'll find a winning formula after enough testing.

Age groups are a good variable to work on. You can't control devices with a brand new Gemini account, but age groups can encourage different device users.

Interesting. So after I get some history with my account can I contact a rep to open up device targeting?

i've heard some rumors about this but i can't confirm. you may need to spend around $5,000 per month or you can try reaching out too.

if it's like most networks they probably don't love affiliates, so you'll need something white hat to get your foot in the door

I was told $3000-4000/DAY spend to have mobile eliminated
