My Beginnings with Pop Traffic

After reading through most of the mobile traffic sources on here, I've come to the understanding that pop traffic is one of the easier traffic sources available for newbies to get into and make some money. Overall, I kind of understand the process of going from red to green with this traffic type, but in my mind the steps are still all over the place and I can't always connect the dots. So I decided to make this thread so that aside from the fact I can get your help, it'll also help me to go about things in an organized manner.

I've picked the highest ranking mobile offer on Avazu for Brazil, since the avg bid for this traffic is $1 CPM which is the lowest on PopAds and has the most volume. Downloaded 6 of the most popular antivirus LPs from AdPlexity. I'm gonna clean up their code and adjust them to work with my offer. I'll also have it translated by One Hour Translation, since the PopAds inventory shows that 90% of the traffic language is Portuguese.

Now comes a step I'm very lost at: creating the first test campaign.
The Pops 101 Guide by Ruby Tunes suggests I should spend 10-15x the payout per lander before making any decisions. I analyzed the traffic inventory for BR and think the only traffic segments I could initially be testing these with is High vs Low bid and Carrier vs Others. I have 6 different LPs. Does that mean I test 1 lander a time, creating 4 test campaigns where each is testing a possible segment combination?

I ran a quick campaign on PopAds just to get familiar with the platform. I noticed the daily budgets are quickly spent within an hour or so. Does that mean when I test a lander today really quick for $15, I wait till tomorrow before running another test after optimizing, and so on? Or can I start running tests back to back after a budget for a campaign has been spent?

My main concern is my budget, if it's gonna be enough to properly test this offer.

Am I on the right track?

Yes, if you want to test low VS high bids, you need two campaigns. When starting out tho, I would just test one thing to get some baseline data, especially since your budget is very low. The first step is to make sure all works properly, your tracking, hosting etc ... once you are sure all works fine and you picked an offer with some promise, then you can test other factors.

As for the budgets, the best is to spread out the data across the day, not to get it blasted within an hour. Some hours perform better than others, so you need to come as close to whole-day coverage as possible. Try to make your targeting more tight, since this is a PIN submit offer - pick just one carrier, just one OS, just one device, just one brand ... as much as the traffic source allows - so for example carrier X, android, smartphone, samsung. Think rationally when setting the targeting, you still need volume so dont target alcatel phones

Good luck
