Hi there! As this sub-forum's description says that forum's community representatives won't bite decided to ask a silly question: is there any tool to check in advance if the offer page has autodownloads? Got my first campaign rejected because of that (and I've created bazillions banners for it one of which was so beautiful that I was almost crying just looking at it!
) and would be great to know the way to avoid the same situation in the future. Thanks in advance for the tips!
Hi there
do you refer to direct download (DDL) offers ? If yes, well then first of all you can usually know that from the offer description on your affiliate account and you can always double check it with your affiliate manager.
By the way, in my opinion you can aim to adapt the creatives you got so far for other similar offers you would promote and use them. So don't lose any more time and rush to locate the next offer which best suit your needs
Ah, thank you! It wasn't direct download and there was nothing about the offer eating out page visitors traffic in the description. My AM is having a good time during the weekend but I'll definitely try to ask how might it had happened.
Thanks for the tips with creatives
That was the plan
Can't waste those beauties
Autodownload offers can cause problems with many traffic sources and every affiliate network should properly mark them.
What happened in your case most likely tho, is that there are fallback rules setup for the offer you are promoting and one of the fallback offers was the autodownload offer that caused you problems. In case you are not familiar with the term "fallback" - its basically backup offer that the traffic is redirected to in case it doesnt meet the original offer requirements - so for example different GEO, different device etc ...
Talk with you AM about their fallback settings and if it was the case at all.
Woah, thanks for such a detailed clarification, Matuloo! I'll definitely impress my AM with questions backed up with some proper knowledge
