Hi Guys-
So I was doing an arbitrage experiment buying pop traffic from Zeropark in Tier 1 countries for the minimum bid and sending them to monetization networks such as redirect.com. No optimization was done, just simply buying for X and selling for Y. The campaigns were averaging a small, but consistent profit. Then one day I noticed my traffic stopped, so I logged in and saw that the campaign was banned because there were Tech support offers being shown that weren't compliant with ZP's ad policy.
Makes sense, so I apologized to my account manager at ZeroPark and explained what happened. I then got ahold of redirect.com and asked if they could filter out tech support offers so they wouldn't be shown. They set me up with a new link and I was off running again. Profits were less, but still there and on autopilot. I also tested the new link periodically to ensure no tech was showing up.
Then apparently an advertiser on the redirect.com side rotates in a tech support offer which was flagged on ZeroPark's side resulting in my account being banned. I emailed ZP explaining what happened and told them I thought only email/sweeps offers would be show and that I would send traffic to redirect.com. They told me there is nothing they can do and I have to forfeit my ZP balance. More importantly, I had a few other profitable campaigns there that I can no longer run.
I know this can be the nature of the industry, but does anyone have any suggestions on how to proceed? Or am I just shit out of luck. It's frustrating because I wasn't TRYING to run anything against their policy. If I were CONSCIOUSLY cloaking offers or swapping them out after approval, then ok sure I deserve to lose my account. Sorry for the rant/bitch session, just trying to see if there is anything else I can do. Or maybe a ZP person on STM that I could talk to.
Thanks!
^ im sure they will likely unban you if that is what really happened. Offer redirect on the advertisers end, nothing you can really do about that. Id just wait for someone from there to this this thread, or perhaps try reaching out on facebook.
**JUST AN UPDATE**
ZeoroPark has reached out and helped me resolve the issue. Hopefully others might learn from this situation. Thanks!!
Did they reach out because they saw this post or because you emailed them again?
This has happened to me a few times already with some networks, so far I escaped the ban hammer, but I can imagine that multiple breaches like this could result in a ban. It sucks to be honest, because we as affiliates cannot influence this in any way. At least for now, traffic networks understand this, which is good
