We've all been grinding here, some people putting 14-18 hours daily and you want everything to be handed off to you on a silver platter? You said it yourself, there's a lot of information, everywhere. Break it down by steps, see what vertical/traffic source you want to focus on and TAKE ACTION. I can't emphasize this enough. First campaigns that you will launch will probably fail but if you keep going, learn from your mistakes and treat this like a real business you will be successful. Nobody will take you by hand and guide you to success. That's not how you achieve success. This is a cutthroat industry. Get out there and take it by the balls. Learn and then test, test, test.

Posting a follow along with pretty much all the info you have on your campaigns is usually the best way to get advice and help on STM.

I hear you - there's so much information on here, and so many things to choose from, that it can get overwhelming. Here are some suggestions:
1)Read
this thread.
2)Sign up to some affiliate networks and ask your affiliate managers for suggestions on what types of offers are doing well, that have low payout (
see this post on why low payout offers are better for newbies); also ask for traffic source recommendations for the suggested offer types.
3)Read some of the recent "follow-along" and "success stories" threads to see what's working for other members in terms of offer types and traffic sources.
Then just start running actual campaigns. Don't spend days deciding which traffic source, which vertical etc. You don't need to stay married to a traffic type or offer type. Just pick something and get started, so you can learn the basics: how to set up tracking, how to create campaigns on a traffic source, how to analyze and optimize stats, etc. Once you have some experience you can test any offer on any traffic source. Maybe every 10 offers you test 1 will show promise, so you would optimize and scale on that and make back your losses and more. As you gain experience you'll make more and more campaigns profitable. Focus on learning to walk first, and before you know it you'll be running, and then flying!
And as cmdeal suggested, the best way to learn is to start a follow-along to get guidance from the community. If you do start one, please feel free to send me a PM and I'll take a look and help out as much as I can.
Most of all, have fun with all this!

In addition to the advice above, I'd also encourage you to read bits of The STM Getting Started Guide whenever you're feeling confused.
It's designed so that you can drop in there whenever you're uncertain what to do, and get immediate advice. And it covers all topics from where to start, what to do first, all the way to scaling to $x,xxx.
Don't feel like you need to read all of it at once! Just read the bits that are important for where you are right now.
