Hi,
i'm fairly new to Native but due to the offers im promoting I need CHEAP clicks.
I know that many of the native networks now have floor CPC prices as:
Outbrain : 0.03 USD
Taboola :0.02 USD
Especially for Tier 3 countries thats too much
. What is your experience on pricing? Any networks there without floor
Cheers and thanks
Wow, I've just been quoted 0,25€ CPC by a Taboola manager 2 hours ago... (for 2 GEOs, 1 tier 1 and 1 tier1/1.5 ;-) think one of the main EU GEO).
They also want me to test 1 month at 65€/day (so 2K total) with an exit after 7 days if it doesn't perform... I have the feeling they try to screw me up a bit !!!
Wow - man yeah better be careful there.
For me just new to Native, but so far seems expensive. been loosing -50% ROI on Outbrain right of the bat
Which ones?
Yes. Which ones?
I don't understand Taboola's account managers, they contacted me a few months back to run their widgets on one of sites, I was interested but they told I would need to sign a 2 year contract and buy 20% of the traffic coming into my sites from them. Someone should tell them , there are alternatives. If your'e looking to buy content.ad and revcontent are good but you'll have to spend there to get attention.
RevContent: 0.01 USD
pro tip though: if you're doing big volume on some of these networks, you can negotiate a lower CPC floor.
This is the wrong question..."how little can I spend to make money," and I see it so often in discussing native.
Look: Native is used by not only high-volume super affiliates, but BILLION DOLLAR corporations to sell tons and tons of products. Just like TV...why the hell would valuable placements cost $0.01 CPC...those placements are complete and utter shit. If a placement from $0.01 - $0.10 CPC made 30% ROI, it would QUICKLY become a $1 CPC because a brand advertiser would swoop in, see the value, and monopolize it.
And, what if you say "I'm just testing..." no, you're not. Try it. Test @ $0.01 CPC and then take that campaign to the proper $0.30 - $0.50+ CPC, your CTR will vary & so will you CR, because the placements are totally different. That's not a valid test.
This is why so many people suck at Native - good sites are expensive.
Think about it - what makes something "expensive?" IT'S VALUABLE!
And, what's valuable in the world of advertising? Converting customers!
Seriously - so much common sense goes out the window with affiliate marketing, no wonder so few affiliates make it...
And unless your offer is $30+ CPA, forget using Native
