Hey guys ,
i got a quick question i started testing adult mobile now bascily i run all the spots at the same time lets say my payout offer is 1$ i run right now 10 banners 4 landers 2 offers whats the formula when to cut:
placement, banner, landingpage, offer, mobile ios, carrier or wifi etc.
all help would be appreciated
regards
You are being very vague so it is kinda hard to answer your question.
Is any of what you have(banners, landers, offers) proven? By proven I mean ensured that working. e.g. offer was suggested by your AM, landers work perfectly and does not have break, banners are known to convert either because you ran it before or you got them by spying and they are the first few impressions.
If they are all proven, i usually cut banner, offer and lander with significance using ab split test -> use this http://www.peakconversion.com/2012/0...al-calculator/
Placements I cut quite aggressively on the bigger adult sources if they are not converting at all its a cut after 2x payout. For converting ones it really depends on how confident you are in your creatives and how much room for improvement you think there is when you adjust your banner lander and offer.
The rest of the optimizations I usually don't do unless it is really really obvious that that segment sucks(like 10x worst) until the campaign is stable. Like I mentioned, it could be your creatives that are crap.
This post will answer your question as far as banners go - with SCIENCE!

And here's the corresponding post for landers:

Hope that helps!
Hey Matullo,
thanks for the tip iam running since a week now on eros and thats how i determinate the spots i scale cause to be honest i dont have a clue about the websites in the inventory so far iam running the rons and i breakeven or make a small profit and i take the spots then that make me the highest roi and scale on them how would you suggest to run on eros advertising ?
regards
OK, the RON on ero-advertsing is not so "dangerous" as on exoclick for example. The advice is simple, cut whats not working, target what works
Ero-ad doesnt have the mega spots that would eat you alive, so keep on going. They allow to target just specific sites, so once you have a list of sites that work for you, make separate campaigns to target just those - so a regular whitelist campaign.
Hey matuloo can i not just buy directly cpm on the spots that work ? would that not be easier ?
Okay cool matuloo thanks for the help i get better to work
have good day appreciate it
Imorian what offers are you testing?
KISS - Keep Things Simple and Stupid
At a 1$ payout, testing a 100$ is enough to make a good judgment call.
If you are profitable --> dont change anything and upscale
If you are close to profitable (70% - 100% of break even point) --> adapt and finetune until you're in the green, keep on spending
If you are below 70% to profitable --> turn it off & focus your attention on another campaign
If you are a starting affiliate, one of the biggest mistakes most affiliates make is to test too many landers and banners.
Its better to test multiple offers and multiple traffic sources with a very limited set of landers and banners until you find your top performing offers and niches. Then focus on those.
