Managing/tracking campaigns efficiently? (Not tracking tools)

Not referring to Voluum or tracking tools or any sort.

I personally use the Notes app on my Macbook to create individual folders for campaigns, and a Note each for each traffic source. And I go through them individually, updating with today's date on what landers I removed, what optimisation I did etc. So in future if something goes wrong or anything, I could see what I did exactly on which date.

Separately I use an excel spreadsheet to record down the profits for the day

And a third spreadsheet to record down the key metrics (ctr, profits, revenue, visits etc) on every individual campaign daily, so with one look I could see if any traffic dropped for the previous day etc.

But I figure it'll still be good to hear what others are doing, and get some ideas on what I can scrap and also incorporate. What sort of tools or ways you use to track or manage your campaigns efficiently?

Why aren't you managing all this through some databases ? Might be better in the end to compare numbers

I'd be interested to see this aswell. I saw one person just using an excel sheet and moving horizontally as the days went on with little notes in a different color. But they were only quick updates "changed image, optimized lander"

And you have to think what is really relevant and worth your time to even keep track of anyway. And From the follow alongs it seemed most of the profit counting was done through their network/tracker.I'm just outlining my first campaign so I'm in for replies.

I used to dropship on ebay and had a VBA excel sheet created for ~$35 from Fiverr. Kept all my profits/losses/payments and the listing links aswell as put it into a chart. Streamlined everything recordkeeping. Might be something worth looking into.
