I am assuming these two verticals are different, or am I wrong? If they are, what is the difference between them? The reason I am asking is because I am browsing Clickdealer's offers and they have these two as seperate verticals, but I am seeing "win an iphone" type offers for both of these categories. Can anyone help me out with an explanation? Thanks.
It sounds like it is a PIN submit offer. The sweepstakes are about information capture, like email. Whereas some of the the PIN submits would be an offer that sends a premium SMS message to opt in to the service, or a payment screen that would bill the customer. You can "Win an Iphone" on both offers, but the pin is usually harder to convert than a single opt in for sweepstakes.
A sweep stakes offer is typically made up of gazillion questions which a person must go through and answer to get to the prize part where they are entered to win. The money in sweeps from advertiser side is made by selling the lead data to many aggregators or lead buyers in various industries.
Wheres a pin submit is effectively a rebill to your phone bill for stupid shit no one needs. With a pin submit the offer owners prays on people who dont check their bills with a magnifying glass hoping to rebill them for a long time.
Hmm my conscious gets the best of me imagine your elderly grandmother who's mainly getting by on SS .thinks she won a prize is excited about this.maybe imagines given this new iPhone to her grand kids.ofcourse nothing ever comes in the mail.meanwhile offer owner and even Affiliate get there $$$ now multiply blow by 20 from what these people earn in these tier 3 geos..
