I´m Going To Be The Next Success Story in Mobile - 60 days Challenge (16)

Hi Everyone!

I´m Javier from Colombia!

2013 and 2014 were the best years so far in my Affiliate Marketing career. Achieved each year the title "ClickBank Platinum Affiliate" generating more than $250.000 in commissions each of those years. 95% of the offers I promoted were in spanish language (my main language)

I was doing mainly FB ads and direct linking to weight loss and muscle offers (Manual cloaking hehehehe / meta refresh changed after approval of ads... - I never did cloaking the techie or pro way....)

Those times were like a dream for me! sometimes I just work one day a week in my campaigns and hit $xxx - $xxxx profits... Sometimes I had to work hard on my creatives and keep up with the hight CTR and low CPC (that was the secret sauce of my campaign. Huge Volume: more than 20.000 clicks per day and very very cheap CPC. I had low very conversion rate but lot of sales and profits since I was driving very large volume at a very low CPC)

2015 was a difficult year. I could not keep up with Facebook shutting down my accounts, my family accounts, my friend accounts, etc... So basically just gave up... Later in 2015 started my own info-producto in ClickBank and currently doing fine with it.

BUT right now I want to be back in the affiliate game! And I want to do it on mobile and be very very aggressive and not worry about the angles I use and crossing my fingers so I do not get my ad accounts banned!

That is why I´m starting this follow along.

I want to be the next success story in mobile (mobile offers and mobile traffic sources). And I will do it starting today: January 15th, 2016!

I´m aware that I need to learn and unlearn many things so I will appreciate a lot your help and support during my follow along.

In the end I hope to become and inspiration case for many of you and I hope to become a better affiliate!

1ST DAY OF THE 60 DAY CHALLENGE:


THOUGHTS AND COMMENTS:
I´m feeling really excited about this challenge! I know this will help me a lot to get track of my work, progress and results. Right now is almost mid night here in my country but my motivation keeps me awake. I think I´m going to use a template to work for every post I make about my follow along so you can read it in a organized and easy way. So these are my thoughts for this first day! here we go!


THINGS I HAVE READY:
1. Allocate a $1500 ad budget for my first month / $50 a day (it might be bigger depending if I´m profitable earlier and I can get on weekly payments!)
2. Work in PIN submit offers for my main market (spanish speaking countries: LATAM and Spain)
3. I´m going to start with adult and virus pin submit offers..
4. Focus with the following mobile networks: "mobidea", "avazu", "clickdealer", "mobvista" (waiting approval from mobusi...)
5. Focus on pop and redirect traffic sources: popads, popcash, propeller ads and adcash. (exoclick and startapp on the radar)
6. Purchased tracking with Voluum
7. Purchase Spy tool with Adplexity


WAITING FOR:
1. Setting up my hosting environment for landing pages
2. Getting approved for the offers at all affiliate networks
3. Brainstorming/spying/improving the angles/landers/creatives for my first campaigns (I´m going to launch at the same time one campaign for adult and other for virus)
4. Setting up the campaigns in tracking (Voluum) and two traffic sources (start testing traffic sources as well)


QUESTIONS FOR YOU AFFRIENDS:
1. For those of you who have had experienced promoting pin submit offers (preferably in LATAM), is there any other network that you would recommend?
2. Do you recommend any other traffic source based in your experience?
2. What do you think of my 1st day and do you have any comment?

It is an interested road. Sometimes, you just need clear your brain then try it smarter again.

I've never run pin offers. So, i cannot aay something special. But what i can say: you must spend faster. Since performance is time sensetive and success can change in some time. Your aim must be get data as soon as possible and scale it up fast sonce your offer or angle die.

I´m loving this forum since you get golden nuggets of information anywhere! and these tutorials are so helpful!!

I also chat with my AM from AVAZU, MOBVISTA AND CLICKDEALER and got insights about top campaigns. The funny thing is that each of my AM had different concepts about what verticals should I be running or what the hottest verticals are... well I believe this is a matter of testing myself and see what brings me the most volume/conversions and of course in which vertical I´m more creative at.



THINGS I HAVE READY:
1. Pre lander hosting environment with amazon cloudfront and branded domains according to the type of vertical I´ll be running
2. Brainstorm and create a list of the offers I will be promoting



WAITING FOR
1. Approval of mobusi
2. Setting up my first campaign in PopAds and Exoclick I believe...

Hey Javier, this seems really promising. You are determined to success, let's see how this goes. IMO, I would recommended starting out with low payout offers (app installs) and in less competitive verticals (adult is a really mature vertical). MX, AR and ES are the top 3 Spanish countries. MX and AR easier to convert than ES but payouts in ES are higher. For MX Pin Submits a good merchant I used to work with is "Concepto Movil": http://www.conceptomovil.com

Let me know if you need help getting inside Mobusi, I know people from their offices in Spain and Mexico.

Funny thing: I did not remember I had set up and exoclick account 2 years ago and deposited $200. So when I was signing up for exoclick I noticed that my username was already taken.... (What! so I thought maybe it was me who took it... so I hit remember password and yes it was my old account that I had no idea I opened 2 years ago but never used it... maybe I was a bit nervous about the adult traffic heheheheh)

Ok so today I have my exoclick account ready for adult pin submits and also have popads.net account with $100 on it.

It is also funny how you discover new networks just by checking the offers. It seems like everyone is re-brokering successful campaigns from different networks. For example, checking some offer links from avazu, I see redirects to Kimia, and from Kimia to brucelead (hehehe like 3 networks in one link)



THINGS I HAVE READY:
1. Exoclick account for pin submit adult offers
2. Popads.net account for mainstream pin submit offers
3. Created my first 2 adult campaigns in Exoclick (first time creating adult banners... funny thing eh)



WAITING FOR
1. Campaign approval and account verification from Exoclick
2. Setting up my first campaign in PopAds for mainstream I believe....

Really valuable content there! I even created one campaign (not mobile...) for an adult info product offer... let´s see how that goes....
I think my focus in going stronger in the adult market.... I see a lot of potential there even though I´m new to that market... but I´m confident about my previous experiences and I think I can do something big there...

2. Also signed up for traffic junky and might create a campaign for pin submit over there...
3. Also open an account at propeller.... it looks like they have a lot of LATAM traffic... maybe a good network for mainstream pin offers

2. Creating campaign at Traffic Junky, propeller ads and popads.... I want to start testing different networks to see what converts better.... But I´m aware that I have to work hard in each campaign improving my angles/creatives/landings and offers.....

That's very good observation! Running with the source will cut down on redirection time (and potentially get higher payouts).


Nice! Couple of tips:

1)Some types of adult offers can do well just by direct-linking - so something to split-test.
2)Exoclick accepts different-sized banners, and they also have different formats such as popunders and interstitials. If you find a promising offer you can test other formats. Although, some of the formats may not have much traffic - but the traffic estimator will tell you if the amount of traffic available is worth setting up a campaign for.
3)PopAds has adult traffic as well (remember to checkmark the box that says "The landing page contains adult content").


Mobile offers in LATAM geos - there's a LOT of potential there! Same goes for Asian geos.
Propeller is a great network. Lots of traffic volume and the quality is there. Definitely a good move.


It's great to test multiple traffic sources from the beginning! Once you get some data though, you may want to just pick a single traffic source (probably the one giving you the best ROI) to do your banner+lander+offer testing, and then scale back to the other sources. It's less expensive that way.


Bigger in terms of audience size? My guess would be adult, but really, the answer shouldn't be too relevant because either vertical is big enough to make anyone rich. A better question would be which one is less competitive - and the answer to that question will depend on what type of offer you're pushing and on what traffic type.

For adult, mobile video subscriptions are doing well. Male enhancement is another great niche, but you'll need a bigger budget to test offers as most of them have higher payouts. Adult dating is quite saturated unless you're willing to dig deeper - for example: go niche, or have the budget to target exoclick RON and spend money to identify the best placements.

For health and beauty, native and FB are both great from what I've heard. There are people running nutra on FB and are cleaning up, but are constantly having to get new accounts as old ones are banned, and they're cloaking. That's something I don't know enough to go into, and going against traffic source rules is not something I would/could recommend.

One "GOLDEN" opportunity just came up in ClickBank and as you already know from my first post, that is where I have most of my success!

So I have decided for now to put an end on this mobile follow along and put my energy, money, and time on this new opportunity!

Sorry about that guys but as you know, if you find a winner campaign, you must milk it for all its worth... and that is what I´m gonna do...

Unfortunately, I cannot keep updates of this campaign.... But I hope to see you guys around in the forum!

For sure, like Amy (Vortex) said, the closer you get to the original source the better the ROI. So if you have a good relationship with that partner, GO FOR IT!
