Domains getting flagged

https://googleonlinesecurity.blogspo...d-buttons.html

Who's been getting their landing pages red screened lately? This is happening to me almost every other day now and my CDN (Cloudflare) is suspending my accounts too.

Just wondering if someones targetting me specifically or if others are experiencing these issues.

Btw i'm running sweeps, so its the typical sweeps landers no real shady stuff going on here.

Thanks!

This has been happening to my domains with more frequency in the past month or so. I'm wondering whether it is related to using cloudflare as I use them for my landers also or if that is just a coincidence.

Yep but I've seen quite a few Sweeps Offer LP flagged as well... if the algo isn't too dumb (I imagine it's not...) it would/could probably flag upstream LPs as well. Basically it's the same algo Google used in SEO : if you're linking to a crap/spammy/shady site, you get killed too...

Random idea: are your pages robot.txt'ed to stop google bot (?) might help (or not)

Well a typical sweep LP nowadays imitates FB right ?
So thats the reason you're getting blacklisted.

If you use screencap of fb buttons or google buttons etc.. that are just screencaps, its a reason for the blacklist.

What sites do you guys use to check if your domain has been blacklisted? sucuri.net ?

You just open it in chrome ? And you get that screen of death if its flagged.
As for automating the checking - no idea .

Worth adding your site for review if it triggers false warnings? https://www.google.com/webmasters/to...y-issues?pli=1

Yup been going through quite a few domains. It only happens for US campaigns though. Working on a tool to scan a list of domains for flags, not as easy as one would think.

Why is it only US?

I have a tool launching very soon which will pro-actively notify you once your page gets flagged for this... See it as Pingdom, but then for flags & antivirus warnings!

I have also noticed that domains hosted on Cloudflare get flagged faster. Try using a different DNS service. Cloudflare - being free - has been abused by many.

https://www.trafficprotector.com/ already exists. It will notify u via sms whenever your domain gets flagged.

Anyone can prevent it from being flag or any other non-manual solution?

Yes it's correct that Cloudflare domains get flagged faster. Non FB themed sweeps lps also get flagged once you use a brand name. Use wildcard domains, check your sites regularly with Sucuri, encode parts of html that are touchy with jquery/base64. These solutions help.

Additionally, use a service like dnsmadeeasy etc or anti-ddos providers outside cloudflare who hide your domain/box info.

It happened to me just today! Will the robots.txt file solve the problem? I'm buying a new domain, but sooner or later it will get flagged again for sure.

Do you need custom tracking to use wildcard domains or can that be done with Voluum ? Seems like it would be really inconvenient to add a bunch of different subdomains manually into Voluum.

Didn't test with Voluum as I use in-house tracking and Flux at the moment.

Guys,

Had this exact same issue and solved it today.... Check every domain in your path... I ran my Voluum link and it was flagged for malware... turns up a domain I use in my path for tracking had been flagged for malware for whatever reason. Building everything in my path all brand new to have no dirty laundry hanging around. Thanks for starting this thread, it was the last comment you made about not checking Voluum that made me check. Hope it helps.

What do you mean by using wildcard domains ? You mean placing *.domain.ext record - you think google will mark only some subdomain not complete domain ?

Correct, they mark by host, not TLD.

Set up new sub domain in my Voluum account today and within 20 minutes of running an ad it was flagged. Only the main Voluum link, not my domain. What a head scratcher.

This only happening if you use trademarked images/domain names?

02-25-2016 01:57 AM #24 newguy (Member)

My pages do not even have images on the page. The domains I am using are not anything trademarked at all. They are just generic names I have bought through my hosting and installed squeeze pages on.
