Trademark words in Banners allowed in Google Display Network?

I know Google doesn't allow trademarked words in text ads (in both search and display network).
Does it apply to banner ads too?

If not, can someone(who's experienced in GDN) share some pointers on how they overcome this problem?

I was running a pretty large campaign for a local retailer of products from various producers, so a lot of trademarks were involved. They (adwords) rejected almost all trademarks from search traffic - ie I couldnt bid on those keywords at all - trademarks in the ad text alone, were not posing a problem tho, when pointing to the relevant product page. Trademarks in banners didnt seem to be a problem in case the ads were relevant - so again leading to related landing page. Actually, they even asked to place logos in the banners. I didnt try to use this in a misleading way so no idea about it.

Not sure if this helps you in any way, but this was my personal experience oh and let me add it was like 2 years ago, so the rules might be different now.

You can bid on trademarked words. that's not the issue.
For me only trademarks in the ad text is being a concern. I've already got a warning due to too much disapproved ads, that's why i am concerned right now. and I don't want to take risk by submitting a banner ad which says - "Buy iphone 6 cases"

One suggestion is to come up with around 20-30 banners you know will be compliant, then add in the 1 with trademark to see if it gets approved. At least then there are some approved ads in the mix.

I'm with braxio - I''d say 10 compliant ads, but it depends on how much money you spend with Google....Really, you just want to sneak one or two non-compliant ones in there.

Weird, I had totally different experience with them. Maybe they changed the approach ever since I was running that campaign, like I said it was quite some time ago
