My progress, starting from ZERO!

Hi everyone,

I have just started affiliate market, it sounds a bit confusing to me so far even though I have read tons of information here and of course tens of articles and e-books before I joined STM.

To keep things easy and straight forward to me, I see affiliate market (in my way) as follows:

1 – John has a product to sell and promote but do not have time/experience to do so.

2 – Alex has no product but has time and experience in addition to a bit of money.

3 – Alex promote John’s products to other people he expects they would be interested.

4 – People buy the product, John gets profit and Alex gets commissions.

I have never done AF in my whole life and I am 31 years by the way. So Couple of hours ago, I have done the following:

1 – Went to Clickbank, created an account and found a products that is 1 month old and already sold few times, it has gravity of 15.

2 – I have looked to the product’s landing page, I like it and I decided to chose that product. It has a commission of 17$ per sale.

3 – Went to my FB and created the first AF ads in my life, chosen a country that NOT USA. And chosen the target people that I think they will buy.

4 – I will leave the ad for 3 days for budget $10 per day.

Let’s see how will it work but I really believe I needed to start rather than just surfing the forum.

I will post here the update every couple of days.

Thanks for reading.

ok so the first ad did not produce any result, I lost my first $30.
I have found another good Affiliate link, and just created my new ads, I will let it run for 3-4 days, I increased the daily ad budget to $15. however I have different types of photos, title and descriptions for such ad, I thought may be it is better idea to test different versions.

I will post the result here once I get them..

You should place this in the follow up campaigns on the facebook section. Maybe a mod could move it.

Thread moved and prefix added as per meathead's suggestion!

Khalid I'm not an expert on FB so can't give you advice, but there are lots of FB experts in the community that could. However, the more details you provide, the more specific the feedback you'll get. For example:

1)The niche of the product
2)Your targeting
3)What your ad looks like

Also, for a $17 product, running $30's worth of traffic without a conversion doesn't tell you much. For a high payout like that you'll need to run a lot more traffic to even gauge promise. And of course the targeting and your ad are very important - again, you'll only get feedback if you provide more details.

Good luck with your camp!

ok so I had used Adexresspo to create FB ads for 1 famous website that pays out $15 per subscription.

I have used chosed the follwoing:

Location : New Zealand New Zealand
Age : from 20 to 25
Gender : male, female
Language : english (all)
Interests : Entrepreneurship and Udemy
Placement : desktop feed, mobile, audience network, instagram, right column

I have tested different gender and ages.

I spent $15 daily for 1 week.

But yeah no result at all. so I stopped to test new one but I am not sure what to do next. I have read the FULL FACEBOOK forum here tho.

The deal I have got is from: Rakuten Linkshare.

It is important to note that I did not have a landing page, I directed the ads to their page, well I thought their pages should be better than any as they know what are they doing, but anyway I was wrong.

I am focusing only on Facebook to eliminate the overwhelming feeling I have got here.

What I am going to do know is: I will use the same offer but I am going to build a landing page for it and see how will it go! I guess I have to keep testing it!!

any advice, pls shoooooooooot.

thanks,
Khalid Zidan

Linkshare has a lot of programs, I'm suspecting that the offer you're promoting may not be the best match for paid traffic. Also, the offer page is extremely important.

For something that pays out $15, I'm guessing that it is either pay-per-sale or a pay-per-lead with several pages of fields to fill out. To motivate visitors to convert for these, you need a very good funnel - from your ad to your landing page to the offer page. Your ad and landing page can be optimized/added, but before you spend time on those, let's make sure your OFFER is right for FB traffic.

If you wouldn't mind sharing what your offer is - either here or tell me in a PM - I'll let you know whether the offer is even worth testing any further. For something with that high a payout, you could waste hundreds of dollars unnecessarily if you're not careful.
