I am definitely a newbie here, just joined yesterday, OMG it is overwhelming but I like it.
I used to work on a website for 3 years called MapToBuy.co.uk the idea was to have a database for all shops in London with reviews and eventually we will dominate the local shop review market in London like what Tripadvisor has done to hotel and Yelp to restaurants.
I have spent tens of thousand of dollar on SEO, website design, App creation and bla blha…
As I do not have enough money, I am giving up on this and I am shifting my whole strength and time to Affiliate Market.
I wonder if somehow someone can contribute and apply affiliate market to the website, to give you a clearer idea below is the business current status as of 14 February 2016:
1. The website is MapToBuy.co.uk and has over 5,000 shops (every shop has its own page that has unique content) in London and around 700 reviews from real people that live in London.
2. There is a blog at blog.MapToBuy.co.uk that has tens of very good quality articles, infographic, videos.
3. I have personally made a song with a team in London and Romania to market the website in creative way, the song is here and got over 45,000 views in YouTube, people loved it and got a lot of positive feedback, it is called “This is my city” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVFIUYvadX4 I am actually negotiating a deal with coffee house cafe right now to use 10 seconds of my song for couple of thousands.
4. I also have produced a 2 minutes movie to market the idea and importance of writing a local review in London, it was really costly, it is called “ A moment can change everything”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52e3-jd8dzs
5. The website MapToBuy.co.uk is getting around 1,200 users monthly (100% organic), 56% from UK (mainly London) and 10% from USA, others from various countries Europe & India. See attached Google Analytic for more details.
6. The blog at blog.MapToBuy.co.uk is getting around 337 users, 68% from UK. See attached Google Analytic for more details.
7. The website has social media at Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+ and getting updated regularly for years. you can see all of them in the footer at MapToBuy.co.uk
8. Over 500 subscriptions so far.
9. Just released iPhone and iPad apps few months ago to people can use it in really easy way, there are under 40 people I guess so far that downloaded the app: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mapt...035216363?mt=8
As you can see, it is quite established name in a very good market (London) and website has thousands of pages but I cannot spent anymore on it, there is a potential and I see it but I cannot get it.
If someone willing to contribute and have share or something, I am ready!
I am also so open for ideas… but I really want to apply affiliate market here on the website.
