Good stuff - looking forward to seeing your results.

Side note: I'm launching campaigns after campaigns, as I got some free time will update the thread with the new offers /creatives I'm promoting.

Question As a general rule, what is the average CTR is considered 'good' to reach? In my previous two campaigns I got about 2$ on the first, and 1% on the second. Is that 'good'?

@daoofwolf - there is no fixed CTR that's "good" to reach. It depends on the traffic source, the ad, and the conversion rate. See http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...y-Don-t-Matter

It also very much depends on whether the traffic's contaminated by bots.

However, there's definitely a "bad" CTR, which is when you have such a low CTR that you couldn't possibly make money on any reasonable conversion rate. A quick way to check what that is: figure out how much you're paying per click. If it's more than about a third of your payout, then you will (almost) never make your money back on that traffic.

Hey Caurmen, thanks for the quick reply. Are you sure it's CVR the metrics I have to look by and not the offer's payout? It makes more sense for me.

Campaign #3
Target Country: IT
Offer: [SOI - ppl] | - GetN. - Affiliaxe
Traffic Source: Go2mobi
Banner Creatives: Waiting for approval, anyway:
Attachment 9805
LP: direct linking
Notes: Currently, I'm doing 2 banner for each design variant. I think it's more a timesaver than design 8 unique banner's design.
Personal Note: I Need to start 10x campaigns each day.
Questions: NA

Campaign 1&2 Results

Personal Toughts
I stopped my KE at 10% as long I haven't got offer's data like EPC and voluume. It was more a photoshop exercise (never used it)
My IT 'sweep was a solid offer, but it's hard to make profitable without a pre-lander and only with direct linking.

Screen is attached.

small update: campaign #3 got not approved. Was a bit too porn. lol.

Campaign #4 & #5
Target Country: ZA / MY
Offer: two WAP offers
Traffic Source: Go2mobi
Banner Creatives: Waiting for approval on both campaigns, will update the thread
LP: direct linking
Notes: I increased budget for campaigns as long these offers are >1$ in payout (around 2$, I increased budget on 40$ day and I put 3x offer payout on placment)

Personal Note: :
My current time to study angles and make a campaign (creatives and uploading ) is about 30 mins for english speaking countries and 40mins for non-english speaking countries

If I can cut times to 20 min / campaign I can start & run about 10 campaigns in 3h and half.

@daoofwolf - heh, yes, I typoed. Sorry about that - it is indeed payout. Good spot!

(Fixed on the original post now so as not to confuse anyone else reading this thread.)

@caurmen -> I'm getting familiar with your system.

I find hard to promote offers without proper landing page, expecially WAP like 'win iphone 6' and things like that.

Do you think it's best to stick with the appetiser until I hit a winning campaign, or move forward with part 1? (testing budget is not a problem)

02-11-2016 10:14 AM #12 caurmen (Administrator)

@daoofwolf - if you're already used to promoting campaigns with landers, definitely keep using landers. The Appetiser is meant for total newbies to the industry: if you have some experience, use the techniques in the Getting Started Guide and the Main Course, and go ahead like that.

Campaign #4
Target Country: ZA
Offer: [WAP] CamSpy - Clickdealer
Traffic Source: Go2mobi
Banner Creatives: http://prntscr.com/a5ch23 these were my original banners and after several thousands of impressions, I've cut out all the banners with maximum binomial confidence CR lower than minimum viable CR (as explained by @caurmen in http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...ats-Calculator)
I'm left with only two 320x480 banners: http://prntscr.com/a5cfeh I plan to create other 8 in order to have 10 different banners at least.
LP: Split tested direct linking and one landing, but didn't notice much difference in terms of conversions
Notes: Yesterday and today I've optimized the campaign by blacklisting placements, banners, and these are my stats.
Overall stats since launch: http://prntscr.com/a5cfae
Only today's stats: http://prntscr.com/a5cf4q
Questions: I don't know if this could ever become profitable, and if I'm wasting my time trying to optimize it.

Any suggestions are welcome!
