So this has been running through my head for years I just never bothered with it. I was in the mobile game industry for 8 years full time and 12 on and off. Making good money from in game ads on mobile but you had to make a game at least every month or 2nd month to keep a good income.
My thought was if I could send traffic to my game using CPI or CPA I could get the return from the in game ads along with building up my game's user base. What do you guys think of this. Its just something I have had floating around in my head for a while for I will be doing AM for other games anyway.

It's doable, but you're competing in a pretty cut-throat world.
You'll need to have your monetisation absolutely nailed in order to make a profit doing this, and also have a really good handle on running an affiliate offer from the owner end.
I'd recommend starting by having a chat with a few networks about the finances involved, and also see if you can find some people who have been involved in the owner end of game offers to get an idea of what it looks like from there.
