Hi all ! I have already launch some campaign to learn how AM works, but this one is my first real campaign. I'm going to use PopAds for the traffic, ClickDealer for the offer,
I've ripped 3 landers from Adplexity, 2 Facebook theme and 1 Amazon theme.
First PopAds configuration :
- US
- Smartphones and tablets
- 0.002 bids
- Top 80% of websites
First
- LP1 : 569 Visits - 3 Clicks - 0 conversion - 0.53% CTR - 5.7$ Cost - 0$ Revenue - -100% ROI
- LP2 : 7183 Visits - 506 Clicks - 2 conversions - 7.04% CTR - 7.1$ Cost - 4.40$ Revenue - -40% ROI
- LP3 : 383 Visits - 9 Clicks - 0 conversion - 2.35% CTR - 3.8$ Cost - 0$ Revenue - -100% ROI
After 20 minutes the LP2 has a large bigger CTR than the others LP so i decide to just get the LP2. Maybe it way to soon to cut the order LP ?
What can i do now ?
Only keep the LP2 or try again with the 3 LP ?
If you have some tips, some ideas ! Ahah
Have a good day !

Hi Paul,
Good to take action! When ripping landers and testing them, be sure to very different landers. They have to be all in different variations. Take the Facebook lander, the spin the wheel themed, and the amazon(questionaire) themed lander and test all three of them. See which one converts the best and then work with the lander to see any tweaks you can make on it to improve your conversion rate.
Your bid maybe too low for mobile. First off you may need to test a lower payout offer..... think less than 1.20~ payout, this only applies if you have smaller budget to work with.
With bidding try different bid price points.
- Start with the highest bid price point in the popads traffic estimator. For example, let's say it's .006 and you're in position 1.
Research if you went to .005 did the your position change significantly. Did .005 have a significant difference in volume(impressions) than it did with .006 then I would test the bid in between that.
- I would start your campaigns targeting 3-5 bids and then when you find the best bid campaign that yields you the best results then I would just stick with that one bid campaign to test offers/landers/etc.....
But if you have a budget you could work with then I suggest getting rid of the targeting option for "Top 80% of websites". The reason behind this is with that type of bid you're selecting, you're competing with established advertisers that have already found a optimal bid price on those types of websites. We as affiliates all want quality traffic sent to the merchant, but those top websites have been bidding upwards to $10-12 CPM(just throwing a number out there) or even higher.
I wouldn't disregard those other LPs yet because there isn't enough data to disregard the other LPs even if one LP had more visits. The key is to look at the conversions. Something doesn't look right with the visits volume. Are you sure you set the path link correctly in
^What Simon said.
I'd also be curious to know why your LP2 got so much more traffic than the other two. And yes it's way too early to cut landers. You don't have nearly enough data. Also, note that a low CTR doesn't mean the lander is bad, because CR (conversion rate) is what will make you money and not CTR. Please see here for a step-by-step on how to cut landers:

Thanks Paul for starting this follow-along - looking forward to seeing more data!
Amy
Although it's true that US is a competitive geo, you were doing -40 ROI right off the bat which looked promising! Way too early to say but I would definitely collect more data before throwing in the towel!
There's a lot of traffic for US, so if you can make it work, scaling will be easier. Have you already paused that campaign?
Regarding tracking costs on PopAds: Are you using
Your stats for that iphone offer in Spain are very promising! I would suggest for you to wait for more data, and using the split-test calculator to check lander stats regularly to see if any lander is ready for cutting. I would suggest to NOT touch placements at this point, unless you're seeing a placement that's spending a lot and not converting. Right now you need as much traffic as you can get to speed up your testing.
While you're waiting, I would suggest:
1)Collecting more landers for testing - but please don't add them just yet, because doing so will skew your results for the current landers.
2)Collecting more offers to test later - same type of offer (iphone sweeps) and same geo (Spain). Sign up to more networks if you can't find suitable offers on your current ones.
3)Setting up 2 more camps with higher bids to see if you can get better conversion and/or more traffic volume (hopefully both!) Set a $10 budget on both. If any of those give you better ROI than your current camp, you could just use that one for your offer and lander testing and save on testing costs, plus gather data faster.
