Can't seem to make ppv work! (10)

Can't seem to make ppv work!

Hello all, been targeting ppv and direct for couple of months now and I've probably spent close to 10k on 4-5 different traffic sources. It's not like I am not making anything back, I've probably made around 7-8 K of it back but I just can't seem to find/create that campaign that get into the decent profits. I've had these odd campaign in various traffic source do + ROI (Low profits) but it's usually short lived or it only works on 1 traffic source.

One of the issues is that I keep trying to make one or two Geo work with sweeps/pin submits and I'm always close to profits but just can't seem to get over the hump in the positive and I end up spending for days testing costing me in the end.
Maybe I need to have a set budget say 100 over 2-3 traffic sources and If i can't get the campaign into positive, I than move on?

I've been running wiredtree pure SSD VPS only because I am not very Teck savvy and cdn confuses the sh8t out of me. And I could be dead wrong but I don't think it will take my -10 to -20 ROI campaign into the +30 to +50 ROI. (Your thoughts ? )

I've got access to spy tool and I feel like I am testing all the landers available to me. Its just feels like either 95% of people are running campaign in the loss or I am just missing that edge. Can't seem to crack this traffic, any one else feel me pain?

Not sure what the point of his thread was tbh but if someone experienced with this traffic feels like earning extra karma pts, send me a pm and help a brother out

Here is a screen shot of last 2.5 months...some of its actually banner traffic but 90% of its ppv.

P.S...I am not the guy with the success story, I'm his brother

would you mind sharing a example campaign ?

landers / targeting / stats?

otherwise its really hard to tell where the problem might be at.

What type of campaign are you running? Are these numbers generated with one campaign or with a multitude of campaigns?

In my experience the verticals that work best on PPV traffic are antivirus, big brand names, finance, background & credit checks, green card applications, as well as dating.
Regarding sources, I don't know the ones you are working with but I'd focus on leadimpact, 50onred, and trafficvance.

You are very close to profit man, I went exactly through the same when I started with paid traffic.

In my case, what helped me was to find the right offers in a very limited amount of GEOs and getting bumps for them. It also helped to test a few traffic sources and lets call it "calming down a bit" - I stopped to do quick changes, jumping all over the place etc. It was painful to watch the campaigns loose money but it opened my eyes in the end, I realized you really need to let every creative and funnel to show its performance.

CDN could help you a bit, but you are right, its not gonna take a negative campaign to +50%. Assuming that your current setup is working fast of course.

You are very close, Im sure you will get into green very soon!

At this time I can't. Still running them.

These were mostly sweeps/pin in 3 different geo. I kept testing landers/offers. Thanks for the traffic list, I will check them out.

I know I fell like I am almost there. I also feel as if someone with more experience could/can take these campaigns into positive. The potential was there. I just don't know what I am missing. Now I am just randomly starting/pausing the same campaign for no real reason. I need to learn to move on! Thanks for the encouragement. My bigger profits came in the adult where I learned to never run 1 lander because everyday funnel performance changed. So will definitely test the funnel out to its potential.

Man! Get on my level! It's tough, if it was easy everyone would be banking. It takes time, just try to improve .01% a day. Notice things you can improve on and your ROI will become substantially better over time.

This is it exactly, with large volume, you would be able to observe these changes in real time so to speak, but when you run low traffic, it might take days. And of course, the performance also changes from day to day. Its very important to stay consistant, calm and not to change things all the time.

Some great advice has been given already - here's mine:

1)You must have a lot of data at this point! You can drill down into your tracker stats to: a)Check to see which "traffic segments" the majority of your traffic is from, for example most of your traffic may be for android, or a couple of specific mobile carriers etc.; and b)check to see which traffic segments are giving you the highest conversion rates. Then, focus on these "main" traffic segments and figure out which lander(s) and offer(s) seem(s) to be converting the best for each segment. Break out each main segment into its own campaign, with lander(s) and offer(s) that converts the best for each. Then play with bids.

2)See if there's anything you can cut in order to increase ROI. OSs, carriers, browsers, placements, days of week, hours of day.

3)You must have a good collection of landing pages by now! What you can do is get some of them translated into other languages and give other geos a try. Or better: Take your current landers and test geos that speak the same languages as the 3 you're currently running. This chart may help you:

You're close! Very very close!

Things are even more stressful now, I find I lose traffic on good performing funnels, CV on some days its positive or others its break even.
But atleast I'm moving in the right direction and learning.

Excellent, finally some green Did you change something in your strategy or it simply just clicked finally? Sometimes its just about spending enough and watching data closely. Congrats

TY
I basically started to put my focus on the campaign that were showing potential as oppose to trying to make the campaign that didn't perform, work. Also signed up to a lot of traffic sources and kept testing.
