I have an exact domain on an upcoming game. Is it profitable to use paid advertisement to pre-order it?
Just to confirm here: you have a good domain for an upcoming game, and you're planning to drive paid traffic to that domain in order to monetise that traffic through Amazon affiliate payouts?
If so - probably not, no. The issue is that Amazon payouts are so tiny that they probably won't give you a positive ROI even if the traffic you're driving is really targeted.
There are various circumstances where you can work around that problem (like if people also go off and buy other much more expensive stuff at the same time, and you get Amazon payouts for all of it), but in general this plan probably isn't one where paid traffic will work out.
Sorry!
Agreed with caurmen. The Amazon cookies only last for 24 hours these days. Your best bet would be to attempt some sort of viral marketing around it to build up hype for the game. EMD's don't carry nearly as much weight as they used to.
Thanks for response guys
