iOS traffic in developing countries: what offer conditions are you looking for?

Hi STMers,

We've noticed a recent trend in countries like India, Saudi Arabia and UAE. More specifically, advertisers are increasingly more willing to spend their ad dollars on iOS user acquisition campaigns, especially in the MCommerce vertical. Some of them are also looking at specific targeting capabilities such as targeting only female users. Given the challenges of the iOS market in these countries, we wanted to get some of your inputs on the conditions you'd need to run these campaigns. For example, minimum payout, support with creating banners, minimum daily cap etc. We'd also like to know what are your preferred verticals in these markets.

Please feel free to add any other comments or thoughts that you might have!

It seems like there are caps on lots of middle east offers and thus the potential to make a huge amount is not as good as compared to other geo with high caps or no caps at all. Thus, the efforts might be better worth investing in launching in other geo. Just my 2-cent worth...

What we're looking for: high payouts, no kpi's (or soft kpi's), no caps, no disapprovals after the 10th day of next month.
High payout means > the highest payout on odigger or offervault

That's it :-)

Thank you for the feedback! The capping for Middle Eastern offers are definitely not the most attractive in comparison to other regions, and this is mainly due to the immaturity of mobile advertising there. As the market matures, we expect to see bigger caps and we're also working with our advertisers on this issue currently.

The average payout for our Middle Eastern campaigns is also the highest in the emerging markets. Moreover, advertisers in this region are very receptive to giving more attractive payouts to affiliates with good quality traffic.

Do let us know if you've any other thoughts on this!

Payouts that are actually sensible given the costs of traffic, the offer CVR, etc. If advertisers want high quality traffic they should be mindful of the fact that a $0.05 payout in India on an iOS app that converts on average at 2% is just not gonna excite anyone.

I think KPIs are a good thing in the sense that they make the advertisers expectations transparent. The aspect of not being paid for valid leads that fall below KPI expectations is utter bulls**t.

Uncapped is great but a better approach IMO is a lead cap per affiliate and rapid communication with advertisers to assess quality and open up caps. If the leads are decent then there's no reason one should be waiting weeks trickling traffic to hear back from some person somewhere. Figure it out fast, grow what makes money for everyone involved.

My $0.02.
