This might differ for traffic types, but for mobile pops, is it better to have a domain name that is relevant to what you are promoting vs some random lettered domain name? Is there any difference in conversion rates?

Yes, your domain name definitely does matter. We, at Adwill, have seen a considerable level of success for our users' using a relevant domain name vs. those using random lettered ones.
