I am trying to set up a landing page rotator script for my campaign.
I am building an email list and just to let you know the traffic is directed to a squeeze page (which I want to split test) and then to a thank you page (which I also want to optimize) which then points to an offer (which I want to rotate).
1) Traffic from ad network ----->
2) Landing Page (SPLIT TESTED) ------>
3) Email sent to autoresponder -------->
4) User sent back to Thank you page (SPLIT TESTED) -------->
5) user displayed offer(SPLIT TESTED)
This should be something that is straight forward right..?
I am using the latest version of prosper and I seem to stuck as to setting up a split test on 2 landing pages......
Sometimes using the "#8 getlinks" setup tab it displays the correct landing page then other times it redirects me to a christian web hosting site
I know they are open source and they want money but redirecting your traffic to affiliate offer instead of showing an error message seems pretty cheap..
Here is what I have done so far...
Using the setup link...
I have inputted all data up and including step #6.
I have created a redirecter which uses all and two landing pages with a weight of 50% each...
==== FUCK IT=======
Infact, I am a about to graduate in Computer Science and I have been writing in PHP and Java for years. Knocking up a simple tracking system that specific for my needs wont be that hard ..!
Plus... CPVLab the website looks old bro...... looks like it ain't been updated in years....
Might have something that is product worthy in the next few years as an interesting side project!
The axe you chose is far from the sharpest one in the shed...
The current tracking standard is something like
Cloud:
Self hosted: Funnelflux (sounds ideal for what you're doing)/
You may be frustrated and all, but that doesn't give you permission to make false accusations about the software.
As you said, the p202 is open source. So since you are almost a cs grad, you should be able to show me what part of the code was responsible for redirecting you to a Christian web hosting site instead of an error message.
@jaystammo - I'm pretty sure Prosper isn't doing what you think it's doing. Is it possible that another element in the chain - an offer redirect for out-of-geo offers, for example - could be doing that?
Prosper's been a thing in the affiliate world for a looooong time. Pretty much every major affiliate has used it at one time or another, and I've used it myself for multiple years. I've never seen or heard of anything like what you're suggesting.
Also, if MrBaffoe had really gone mad and decided to spam users with affiliate links, I'd expect that he'd have chosen much better targeted ones!
What I'd recommend in this situation is moving to something that's either easier to set up or has support you can lean on. As Stitch said, Funnelflux sounds pretty good for what you're doing, but
Listen to caurmen, he knows a little about this affiliate marketing thing
100% guarantee you that it's a geo-redirect, or something similar to that, at the network or offer level and not prosper.

Most current version is in a private repo so I would have to invite you to it until I can get it public.
