Fucking AdWords BS (10)

Fucking AdWords BS

Soo.. I have this long standing account with Adwords where I ran rebills a long time ago, however Google didn't know this because of my cloaker and how I ran it.

I hadn't ran anything in the account for a long time, but never had any issues with it. I deleted the campaigns with the rebills though.

3 days ago I log in and put up a new legit campaign and it gets accepted.

Today I get an email saying my account is suspended because of those old sites. I write to them because I know 110% for a fact they did not penetrate my cloaking system and to my surprise they bring up some legit old campaigns I ran as the reasoning. I had even deleted these old legit campaigns too.

I looked into it and those domains on those old legit campaigns are no longer owned by me ( and are deleted ), but are owned by some domain parking company who is showing ads on them.

Even though my cloaker is still intact ( and was not used on the legit campaigns, why bother ), this leads me to some observations:

1. If your a domain flipper, never put those domains in your adwords accounts, you never know what the new owner will put on the site and then your still held accountable years later in your Adwords account, even if the ads are deleted.

2. If you own a legit business and sell it later and plan on starting up a new biz, your old Adwords account is bascially fucked.

3. If you let a domain lapse, your fucked.

4. If you do AdWords for clients and any of their data is in your account ( like a test campaign ), you will get fucked later on if they change the site.

Either way you slice it, Adwords is one seriously fucked up system with these kinds of policies.

After explaining the issue to them, I basically got told "the Adwords account holder is responsible for all sites in their account, deleted or not". I guess that means 100 years from now I am still responsible for those flipped and sold/lapsed domains in Google eyes.

That is BS. If Google was responsible for every domain they ever owned they would have to ban themselves from advertising as well along with every other major company in the world.

I had the same issues and it is impossible to delete old campaigns. You can't change the links too. So - new account is the only solution. Really funny policies.

I really cant wait until the day both google and microsoft are non-existant. I cant think of any 2 companies more deserving than to be out of business because of general douche-baggery.

and it CAN happen in this lifetime, just look at companies like AOL who were absolutely HUGE in the 90's and today they are reduced to rubble.

ya well there is talk....of possibly government regulating google and fb......as they own so much of the market share and have become much like the "air-waves" of old......

which could make it better or worse..... personally I feel on some level google and FB need to be reined in....esp FB imo.....as more and more of the web moves onto their platform.....

im probably alone in thinking this, but i really wish the whole IM industry was regulated.
all the shaving, scrubbing, shit traffic sources, etc..
makes it almost impossible to make an honest buck.

can you imagine things like this going on in other industries?

1) picture someone going to work everyday and at paytime the boss says "im not too happy about some of your work you did so im not gonna pay you for half of the week" = (shaving or scrubbing)

2) going to a restaraunt and getting a meal and telling the server "there are little pieces of shit in my food that i just paid for" and then the server says, "oh ok, let me give you a magnifying lens so you can see the little pieces of shit better and then you can remove them yourself in the future" = (buying shit traffic and getting the ability to "opimtimize" to weed out the shit sources)

i guess you see the point im getting at point is so many people are screwing each other over, it really needs something to happen, especially now that they are talking about CPS's maybe having to collect taxes in certain states.

Eliquid - Did it go through the audit or not?

Actually, it didnt while I waited for the account to gain some age. However, when I added in the campaign finally and ran it, it went under "review".

4 days later I was out and running again.

So what I did was set it up and added in a voucher for $100 and did nothing else for about 7 days.

After that, I added in my campaign and ads and waited for them to be approved. Once approved I got a bit of traffic coming in and then BAM, no impressions and no clicks.

Emailed them and was told was under review.

After 4 days, traffic came back and I was fine.
