Working with local clients - problems

Hi Guys,

I'm working with a few local clients directly supplying pay per lead services using PPC.

I have been burnt a few times during this time with clients not paying after they recieved the leads I sent.

Obviously I have the costs of PPC, and if they don't pay, I'm out of pocket in a big way.

I was thinking of requesting a set amount each month and then charging on the lead costs on top - but that defeats the pay per lead model and is higher risk for the clients.

How can I minimise risk on my side to stop this happening?

Thanks.

Have them prepay for leads. It's normal.

But if you don't know the amount of leads going to be generated, how can you know what to charge?

Make a package for x leads, and then stop when you get there, and ask them to review the lead quality and if they want more yes/no? And ask for another payment.
