voluum/cake clicks missing (7)

voluum/cake clicks missing

Hey guys I'm having weird issue with missing clicks sent to cake offer around 50% missing. Cake network shows 50% less clicks than Voluum lander clicks. I checked this are not duplicate clicks, FB traffic so should not be bots also.

For other offers i have around 25% but 50% seems a lot, tried contacting Voluum but support doesn't respond, network also says their cake doesn't show those IP's, any ideas what it could be?

One possibility that comes to mind, is that visitors may be leaving the funnel after clicking through the landing page, but before reaching the offer page. A good thing to check is the loading speed of the offer page (from your target geo - most loading speed checkers will allow you to specify the location to check from).

Can't think of anything else at the moment. Hope others will chime in. Losing 50% of your clicks is brutal.

Ye was thinking it should be something about that. Load time is 3.5secons to open offer link so doesn't look that big deal

@mitjamg - is that 3.5 seconds as tested from your target geo, or from something like Pingdom in the US?

3.5 sec is already a bit slow - you'll definitely lose some clicks from that. But 50% seems extreme.

Also worth checking with your network whether they're mis-detecting clicks as outside your target geo. That can be a really big source of click loss.

Im not a big speed freak who'd be chasing miliseconds, but 3.5 seconds is a problem. This is entering the zone where I personally could close the page without waiting for it to load.

Yes but 3.5 secs is network link so I can't do much about that, also other network is like 2.8 secs tested within same geo. Clicks are all coming from same geo as Voluum is showing

Is the offer performing well for you? If so, it may be worth the trouble to ask your AM to talk to the advertiser. Perhaps there's something they can do about increasing the loading speed. And with that problem resolved you'll be able to tell whether that has been the cause of the clickloss, and go from there.

If the offer isn't performing particularly well, I'd say just forget about this one and test other offers instead.
