Confused about setting up Post Back Url + Tracking in Voluum (3)

I am a bit confused about how to properly set up Post Back URL's in Voluum & YTZ

See screenshots.

I am following Charle's Ngo's guide on setting up voluum...

Can someone explain how SUB ID's and Postback URL's work?

In my YTZ account offer (see screenshot) -- I see a place to enter my Postback URL.. I know that I can get my Postback URL from Voluum's "Setup Section". Great.

The question is: How do I know the best parameters to use in the URL?

Also, regarding setting up Custom Domain Tracking on Voluum: I already have a domain that I can use for tracking, but Voluum has 3 (!) fields for adding a custom tracking domain (!).

Do I need to register 3 separate domains for this? I assume this is for redundancy purposes (if one of my domains goes down for some reason).

It is necessary to have 3 separate domains for tracking? Just curious.

Below is a part of a tutorial I wrote for my friend's membership site. If you have further questions please ask.

Setting Up Campaigns on Voluum

• Log into your Voluum account. Click on “Affiliate networks”, then “+ New affiliate network”.

• Name it “YTZ” and click “Save”.

• Click on “Flows > Offers”. Then click on “+ New Offer”.

• Log into your YTZ account, click on “Campaigns”, and you should see 2 YTZ links, one for pops and the other for direct navigation. Let’s set up direct navigation first. Click on the link icon at the end of that row.

• Copy the link in the popup. Go back to Voluum and paste this link into the “URL” field of your new offer. Replace {s1} with {clickid}. Delete “&s2” and everything after that.

• Give the offer a name such as “YTZ Direct Nav RON”. Leave “Country” blank (because we’ll be targeting all countries). Specify the affiliate network as “YTZ”. Click “Save”.

• Now, repeat the last few steps for adding a new offer in Voluum (starting from “Flows > Offers”), this time for the “Pops” YTZ link (you can name this new offer “YTZ Pops RON”).

• Click on the little gear icon at the upper right corner in Voluum, then click “Setup”.

• Copy the link in the “Postback URL” field.

• Go back to YTZ, click “Tracking > Postback Tracking”.

• Paste the postback link into the “Post Back URL” field. Delete “&txid=OPTIONAL”, replace “REPLACE” with “{SUB1}, and replace “OPTIONAL” with “{REVENUE}”. Specify “Target:” as “Account”. Leave “Protocol:” as “http://”. Click “Save”.
