I do AM as a part time thing and I find that there isn’t enough time for me in the day to test many campaigns.
So I have decided to outsource spying (ripping lander from spy tool, changing the url to mine, debugging any issues with landers) for now.
Here is the game plan:
1. Find someone local or outsource in a cheaper country.
(I saw an ad on local kijiji/craigslist where an individual is looking for some extra work to do. He’s a programmer and is asking for 15 – 20CAD/hr. The task I have are mostly repetitive and I haven’t spoken to him the details. But I figured they guy is local, it’s easier for me to explain, and this would avoid a lot of confusion. This is my first time outsourcing so I am not really sure what to a except. SO definitely this will be learning curve for me.
2. The tasks.
I was thinking for now, I would give him my spytools access, show him a demo of how’s it done. I figured at first I would get the urls for him, send them over and he can add my
What do you guys think? Any feedback?
Ripping landers and so on is a very, very low value task that almost anyone with the ability to use a computer could do.
If they need to troubleshoot JS and avoid common pitfalls then you want them to be OK with basic page coding.
This sort of stuff should be outsourced somewhere like PH where labour is cheap - no way I'd pay $20 CAD/h for such work.
I would find 2-3 people on Upwork in some country like PH, Bangladesh, India, etc. and set out task guidelines, give them spy tool access, and see how they all go for a week or two.
Unless this can occupy someone full-time I don't see why you'd want to pay more than a few hundred a month. It's not exactly strategic or critical work.
100% what Zeno said, knowing the whole outsource game is a skill in-and-of itself....and Upworks the place to go.
When posting jobs, write "include the word [x] when responding" (shows the contractor actually read the job post vice was spamming out generic applications). I'd also recommend checking out their hours worked and average feedback score before officially hiring - which sounds like common sense but TRUST ME you'd be surprised.
$10/hr will get you a rockstar contractor if chosen carefully.
I agree with Zeno as well. You can find it much much cheaper and also probably much better quality as well !
Upwork is filled with 90% crap 10% quality.
But their quality is a lot better than onlinejobs.ph.
In upwork, in your job post, try and give a task or add screening questions and MAKE SURE THEY answer them. You will get a lot of people on upwork that replies "Yes I can do the job." without answering the questions which points to the fact that they did not read the post and just apply for every job out there.
My best VA works mon to sun 9am-10pm and manages the rest of my VAs. And yes he was hired from upwork.
Good luck in your search for a superstar va!

I agreed with acepowermarketing, you do have to kiss lots of frog before you will find a prince.
Previously I've posted the following job description. I figure if you set the barrier of entry high enough you might be able to reduce the less qualified people coming in. You can setup a term to pay per page since this kind of work doesn't require very sophisticated skill set. But if you are lucky enough, you will be able to find talent from the hay stack and work with them to do higher level work. We have a race preference because in general my understanding is that Europeans, east Asian, and south Americans have better track records. You might want to put that in your job description as well.
You might be able to use the following application script to help screen out unwanted applicant.
We require 10 webpages to be copied and optimized for mobile loading/viewing. I can show you the websites via PMB.
Here is an example of a website that we would want copied: Insert Your URL Here
1. Tested on all major browsers, including old versions of IE including but not limited to IE10, IE9, IE8, IE7, etc. We find that IE tends to be the most difficult browsers to deal with.
2. We would prefer that errors and mistakes are kept to a minimum hence the need for you to be careful.
3. Mobile versions have fast loading times.
This can be an ongoing project. We want a price quote of around $20 per website copied. We can discuss this more in the PMB.
Hope this help.
