Is Voluum For Offer Owners / Agencies? (8)

Dear STM Forum Members,

We are both running our own offers and running client offers. By "running" I mean our agency, affiliate networks / partners, and their sub-affiliates are all advertising offers we own or represent exclusively. We are looking for a system to track all the traffic, conversions and payments for these offers, networks, and sub-affiliates. Can anyone please recommend what would be the best solution in this case?

Before posting in the forum we got Idev but they said they think their software does not do what we want.

p.s. For some campaigns we need a postback. We were shocked that idev said they cannot create a post back.

p.p.s I have heard of Voluum but am not sure if it can track networks, sub affiliates, etc. so if anyone has feedback / guidance I'd love to hear it.

Obviously, you can run your own offers and other people's offers as well. We also have a Multi-User Access capability that may come in handy.

Voluum just emailed me that multi-user support is "in the works" but unable to provide an ETA.

I also know that a lot of the offer owner use Hasoffer, no personal experience with them though.

Wanted to reply and let everyone know what has happened in hopes that it will be of benefit to other offer owners and agencies looking for a tracking system.

Voluum: We were told this does not work for offer owners / agencies looking to track traffic for many sources. Definitely worth checking out for individual affiliates running offers.

Idev Affiliates: Seems like a good system but we did not find the support to be "newbie friendly" at all and therefore did not continue with them. Could be worth trying if you are very technical.

Thrive: Does not offer "individual support" explaining how the system works. We tried to go back and forth via email but they were just not willing to do any one-on one training. They did make an effort to explain things over email but the system was just too complicated and technical for us. Could be good if you are extremely technical and only need email support.

TrackingDesk: Finally, through STM, we found out about Tracking Desk. Tracking Desk has been perfect and exactly what we were looking for. They took the time to walk us through the software and explain how it works via Skype. This didn't take very long but was immensely valuable. Also, their support is available on Skype chat and they are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Overall, I guess anything will work if you're very experienced with tracking systems and technical. If that was the case, however, you're probably not going to be reading this post. For the newbie or non-technical person to whom simplicity and support are most important, after trying all the above solutions we'd recommend TrackingDesk by a landslide.

Thanks so much for that fantastic list Christoph! Wish I had that when I started this search. As of now we're still extremely happy with TrackingDesk and especially the support they're giving us. I consider myself pretty technical as I've been doing online marketing many years and leading SaaS startups but wow this tracking stuff is pretty complicated as a new offer owner who's never used such a system before! Thanks very much for the feedback, and I'm sorry that Thrive has not been able to satisfy your needs.

We do pride ourselves on the support that we can provide as, and the support we provide is individualized on your specific use case.

Our support guys will dig deep with you into however minute questions you may have on your specific case or level of knowledge, and having tracked our support in ZenDesk, I believe we have very fast response times and very thorough guidance on issues that users have.

We will walk you through step by step on how to set up everything until the very end.

However, we are not at the stage where we can offer live one-on-one Skype training, so I believe if you require this format of training, then we do not have the personnel to do that currently. It is not a lack of want to please the client. And at the price point we offer our services, it is difficult to justify a tracking expert on staff to handle live training.

We have to service hundreds of users' requests, and our staff works very long hours already. So the person who would be able to do this one on one training would be myself, and it is also hard for me to find time.

Thank you for your time and effort in trying Thrive, if only shortly, and the only thing I'm trying to accomplish here is to share with you our situation, and hope we will be able to improve services in the future by hiring live training staff/account managers.
