Just good old SPAM, plain and simple.. Spamming thousands of web2.0 sites, and then spamming the web2.0's with thousands of backlinks.. Rinse/Repeat.

I think he reffered to that box of text,taken by google from his website and displayed within the search results.
That's quite an awesome technique and i would love to know how it's done too!

Those are just Google specific answers for common queries, as part of their "knowledge graph". When I google "norton phone number" it actually just shows me a box with the number and no text. The whole point of it (from Google's perspective) is to make it so you don't have to go digging through a site to find that phone number (or whatever, i.e. how tall is the Eiffel tower).

It kind of sucks for the site, because it takes views and clicks away from it. If you want your own stuff on there, you just need to have a high domain site with information that TONS of people search for
