How optimize/maximize conversions with PPC programs/shopzilla
Hi there.
Anyone have any ideas on how to optimize/maximize conversions with PPC programs like shopzilla?
At the moment we are "catching" clicks using price comparison portals and huge investments with SEO (Organic), SEM and AdWords.
The question here is to obtain better performance .. in other words to increase sales after the clicks also using AM channels.
Some advise about traffic sources? Other solutions?
Thx

Maximising comes through optimization of campaigns on any network
. It's a constant process.
You can look into:
1) New type of campaigns on each network (networks release new features frequently, you should review them and figure out if you can take advantage of it )
2) Constant testing of ads for better copies
3) Tweaking landing pages and doing A/B tests
4) Reviewing data to make optimization decisions. You can setup rules for repeat data sets.

Below are some things to keep in mind from ad network side of things when creating your product titles and descriptions for products for PPC comparison sites like shopzilla now known as Connexity.
Optimisations of Titles
- Describe the product and nothing else. For example, don't talk about accessories or related items unless those are included in the displayed price.
- Ensure the most important keywords for your product are contained in your title. Do not waste scarce space on unimportant terms.
- Begin with a title that reads like a sentence fragment. It is recommended placing the brand at the beginning and the actual product noun at the end. For example: "Adidas Predator Men's Black Soccer Cleats" not "Soccer Cleats - Adidas Predator - Men (Black)"
- Not recommended to use names of similar products in your title. For example, if you are advertising a Microsoft Muze, do not use the term iPod in the title.
- Do not create titles in all CAPS.
- Limit the use of unnecessary punctuation such as dashes, slashes, etc.
- Do not include promotional information such as "Free Shipping" or "On sale".
- Do not use terms such as New or abbreviations such as NIB unless it is in the brand or name of the product
Optimisations of Descriptions- It is generally acceptable to include promotion information in descriptions, but depending on the site, it may not be visible. In addition, if this information is at the beginning of the description, it may be pushing more relevant keywords to later in the description, which could potentially impact relevance.
- If your description is not keyword rich, consider appending your title to the beginning of your description.
Hope that assists
