Hello STM community,
First off a happy and prosperous New Year to you all.
I have a few years experience in Affiliate marketing with PPC. I am now looking
to develop this by adding new traffic sources and niches. I figured that PPV might
work well for me given my PPC background.
So, a few questions.
1) Is PPV still something that could produce good results as we go into 2016?
2) Which PPV traffic sources are a good place to start? I heard that TrafficVance is the leader, but it seems to
have changed into Propel Media. Also people mentioned 50onRed and LeadImpact. Which of these is worth trying please?
3) Which Networks have the best offers for PPV?
4) Do I need to use landing pages or can Direct Linking work initially as I learn the ropes?
Thank you in advance,
Mark
1) Yes, it will still work well in 2016. Its a very steady and reliable traffic source
2) I would suggest to get started with Leadimpact, 50onred and TrafficVance. They are the biggest traffic sources in this space
3) Offers that work well on PPV traffic are Finance, Background/credit checks, Dating, Antivirus and anything with a big brand name (amazon, vistaprint, etc). We have a lot of offers in the above mentioned verticals. You would just need to sign up as a Publisher on www.addiliate.com in order to get started
4) Direct linking works best. The user is already looking out for it (keywords he bids on) and then your ad pops up. Its more pull than push marketing so a lander is not really necessary
Hope this helps!
Hi Mark,
1) Yes, definitely. PPV is still producing very good results.
2) LeadImpact, Propellerads, Adcash, Popads...
3) You can find offers in most networks I assume. I recommend affiliaXe :-)
4) You can do both (just make sure the advertiser allows direct linking with PPV). Split testing with LP is a good way to go. If you want to start sending traffic and testing offers - you can start with direct linking and see which campaigns show promise and then add a LP to the funnel and split test.
Happy new year!
You'll probably want to use a landing page that fits the dimensions of the pops. If direct linking, you can see if an alternative page is available.
Okay thanks, so am I correct in assuming that when the user clicks through from this pop-up, he is taken to the website with the offer, but still
within that small pop-up window? It seems very small to allow him to interact with the offer site properly. Is there way to make the window
full size after he clicks through from the pop-up?
The STM Toolbox is outdated and shows the pops too small
okay thanks, is there anywhere I can find a tool that shows the correct pop size so that I can see if the pops will look fine for my users?
What is the best traffic for south east asia country (vietnam, indonesia, malaysia, thailand, cambodia and etc)
Currently I'm using 50onred which have good convertion for me.. Leadimpact and trafficvance don't have traffic for south east asia country
or you can build your own network and just buy users from PPI networks for the same price as your PPV hit.
50onred is only a $500 buy in, good traffic.
That is where i would start.
