Prosper VS Voluum?? Help us!

Hi all,

We are in doubt about Prosper and Voluum. Maybe you guys can help us out and give us some advice. We have now something around 3 million hits each month.

Prosper:
- Free
- Host a own VPS ($50 / month)


Voluum:
- $179 / month
- Nice interface

More pluses and minus are welcome!

If you aren't a server expert or have someone to handle optimisation, and have traffic dispersed geographically, Voluum is the no-brainer.

Also keep in mind, with your own VPS you will have to clear out the DB periodically to avoid slowdowns or MySQL crashing.

The smaller the VPS, the more frequently you'll have to do this.

I'd go further and say even if you are an expert, Voluum is still the better choice. Not worth spending the time, effort, and money to come up with your own solution to a problem that's already been solved. Better to focus on other areas.
