Newbie goes adult - goals and progress inside!!

Hey there

OK, so here we go. I stumbled upon affiliate marketing in 2012 but did not take enough action. Was launching adult campaign here and there, lack of focus, I was breakeven but then decided to quit because I have no budget. Well, now as 2016 resolution, I quit everything in my life that is not going to get me further to my life goals. I quit partying, quit drinking, quit messing around and just want to stick my head to affiliate marketing and focusing more on my health

I am currently enlisted with Clickdealer promoting adult dating offers:
GEO: Russia / Turkey
Offer: Adult dating - Desktop
Traffic source: Exoclick (as of now)
Payout: $1.30
Daily testing budget: $50-$100

What I did:
Market intelligence spy on RU / TR countries
From what I found, it is clear that the offer I will be running is quite popular in RU / TR countries. Some of affiliates do direct linking and some do LP. The variation of LPs are more or less the same where it asks for qualification and ends with survey question (to analyse the market trend, i suppose?? ). Now the question is during the first initial step, is it really necessary to do survey? Since I would like to test which funnel shows the most promising result, I think I might want to skip the survey thing.

The plan:

Create 5 completely different angles: 2 ripped angles and 3 come out with my own angle
Each angle will have 2 banners with the same copy but different images
Each angle will have 2 landing pages that shows coherent message/copy from the banner flow(as finch suggests)but with completely different layout / style
Let it run on the said GEO with $50 daily: placement ATF such as NTV A, B. I want to get data as soon as possible so exposure should be high.

So now I have 5 Angles > 2 Banners > 2 LP and running it for 24-48 hours.

so first of all, exoclick always shows less traffic than you will see in Voluum. Some of the traffic that they dont count are bots, some is real, but thats how it is. Its complicating the optimization a bit but you will learn to live with it. The best you can do is adjust the cost on Voluum so it matches the real spend more or less. When optimizing the campaigns, you will have to load the detailed stats in exoclick, or download the CVS file and compare the cost per source with the income per source in voluum. Kinda annoying at times but well...

Offer payouts are not the most important factor, the EPC is. Low paying offers usually convert better than high paying ones. Then there is the difference between SOI and DOI, you simply need to test it and see where you get the highest income per click, because thats the only thing that matters actually. Its true that there are offers with so low payouts that it simply cannot work, but this can usually be "corrected" with a pay bump.

As for the banners, you dont really have enough conversions on them to really cut something, the difference between 3 and 5 leads is really small and can change with 5 clicks.
