Private CPV

Was just looking over this post I found on stack's blog: http://stmforum.com/2010/12/29/build...e-ppv-network/

Has anyone tried this, I'm sure you got an inside look Stack being a friend - does it look worthwhile?

Thanks

Hey,

I havn't tried it rich. The conept sounds really promising but i have a feeling its a boatload of work, and you probably need a very targeted and large niche/amount of installs to make you some decent money, and that would take quite the initial budget. Other than those factors on a large targeted scale it could be pretty huge.

I haven't tried it, but I'm thinking this might be a good way to promote installs http://www.bluehatseo.com/how-to-make-a-100-per-day/

It's a good idea but imho its not really worth the time (unless you have a solid plan and a big budget ).
Last time I checked it only supported IE , so probably you would throw away all the users that use Firefox/Chrome/Safari .

Also it's the risk that if some antivirus flags it as spyware ( because it really is! ) say goodbye to all your hard work and money spent on distribuiting it.

Looks like it's been some trouble with getting in contact with the owner as well: http://www.ianfernando.com/2011/just...t-private-cpv/

Thanks for sharing that link, that's a nice idea for content locking with BLAM!

@stocks

just wanted to say that the one Ian is referring to in his post is run by Bevo, not the one i talked about on my blog.

New member. Great board. But I believe Ian is referring to the same guy you had in your post. As you reference distantsunmedia.com one in your blog post which cost $870 and you can see here

http://www.wickedfire.com/sell-buy-t...rce-127-a.html

He is just selling the $127 one which is same as the $870 just without the source code. I am interested in the $870 version with full source but if people are having problems getting in touch with him I doubt he would deliver after payment.

Oh kk, i'm still a bit confused to be honest because the bevo one and distantsunmedia one are owned by guys named 'Ryan'
