Best way to use a spy tool (as a beginner)?

Hi.

I just signed up for AdPlexity (great tool btw) and as many others, I guess, I find it to be a little overwhelming: so much data, you don't know where to start from.

I would like to know what are your recommendation for using this as a beginner. For the moment, I know the vertical i want to run on (sweeps), I want to use pop/redirect traffic and mostly focus on tier 2-3 GEOs.

My plan of action would be:

1) get a list of SOI sweeps offers from AM that have volume and decent CR/EPC in tier 2-3 countries
2) put the advertisers' url into adplexity or simply search the offers to see the traffic sources and landers used
3) rip some landers, remove those sneaky js scripts and run them as initial test
4) based on this decide where to move next (optimize the campaign, pause it and chose a different GEO, etc)

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks.

First thanks for choosing us

Your plan is OK, but I will give you few suggestions on how to take few extra steps that most affiliates don't. And guess what, this is where big money is.

1) Don't restrict yourself from spying in other GEOs as well
Who says that it wouldn't work if you take certain style/design from X country, swap text/translations and run it in Y country?

2) Don't restrict yourself from spying on other offers in same vertical/niche
If angle works for X app install offer, who says it won't for Y app?

3) Don't restrict yourself from spying on other traffic types
Adplexity is the only tool that supports popups, mobile web and in-app ads under one roof.
Who says it wouldn't work if you take LP that is running on in-app and try it on popups?

4) Apply "ripped" translations on own styles and own angles on "ripped" styles

Thanks

Great advice Kinghustler. I'll add that to the list. Thanks for sharing.
