So I have picked a vertical & traffic source, now what?

Hi Guys,

I was googling how to make $500/day last night and found out affiliate marketing and I'm here today. Yes I'm super new to the field. After some reading I have decided that I'm going to start in the Pin Submits vertical and use Go2Mobi as traffic source. And I have no idea what that means.

I have already been rejected by one Affiliate Network this morning and have the following to-dos in my pipeline.

- create a landing page (I already have a domain)
- register a LLC to show how serious I am. (register LLC and elect as S Corp to give you the best of both world I heard as far as tax goes.)

So a couple questions:

- Do I just pick the hot offers? Do I need to focus on a specific field like dating, gaming, finance or service etc? I was asking what kind of offers I run... i'm like I want to do Pin Submits.
- If I don't use my landing page, and I have no apps, where am I going to put the banner or bar or ???

Not sure if I make sense, but thank you all and Happy Holidays!!

Karen

Without any intention to sounds harsh or what, you seriously arent ready to start with anything in AM There is a ton of info on this forum, read the newbie section and get yourself familiar with the whole subject. Right now you dont have enough knowledge to even pass the intro interview with an affiliate network

All the info you need is here, just read it

Good luck!

Caurmen himself will probably show up and tell you so but check this out http://www.caurmen.com/awa15/

PIN submits are in a tough category.

really? I ready it here http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...ticals-EXPOSED

PIN submits in particular are really taking the place of app installs for a very similar approach - mobile-only and significantly more varied than the remaining apps. There are an increasing number of comparatively low-payout PIN submits - good for fast testing - and our mod team generally rates them as one of the easiest verticals to get rolling.

I thought it's easier?

I just read Caurmens summary, its written from an offer-builder/owner point of view so to speak. Especially the part about pin submits, where he mentions obstacles like obtaining short code numbers etc .. you dont need to worry about this when you promote offers through affiliate networks. If you are serious about your business and plan to scale up to an enterprise level, these are the chalenges you are about to face tho.

To be honest with you, nothing in AM is easy, if it was, everyone would be a millionare by now.

PIN submits are still a vertical that is "doable" by the general affiliate public. Its not something you will learn over night, but they are certainly easier than app installs or games, thats true for sure.

Lokebiz, Matuloo is correct, the information you need is here on the forum. Egorpe provided the link to the Mobile Cookbook Appetiser already which is a great place to start. If you need more background, then read every thread Caurmen put into good detail in the Getting Started in 2015 section which it looks like you started already. It sounds like you have a traffic source picked out and you need to get accepted to some affiliate networks so you can pick offers. You will also need to select a tracker for your campaigns. All of this information is in Caurmen's Getting Started in 2015 section. Go through all of those, take action accordingly and you should be able to get some campaigns going.

Hi Lokebiz, I assumed that from your post you're a newbie in AM. To be brutally honest, if you're here in AM for the sake of getting quick rich or earning quick bucks, AM isn't for you. You need time and effort to study the fundamentals of AM. Based on my experience, it took me 2 months before I understand the concept of how AM works and what's required etc (I'm a slow learner). And even so, I'm still continuing to learn more in-depth about mobile while at the same time launching campaigns, testing angles, split testing and landing pages. For now, your most important priority is to go through the newbie section, read through the summary and guides and search for questions that you're in doubt. Chances are, majority of the questions that you're searching for are answered by former newbies so be sure to read through that! If not, don't hesitate to ask questions. When you got the idea of how AM works, read through the "Mobile Cookbook" guides in the mobile section to guide you in launching your campaigns.

To sum up, the fatal way in AM is not spending $x amount of money launching campaigns with no conversions, but spending $x amount of money launching campaigns BUT not understanding how it works.

Lots of good advice here already!

To clarify on the AWA link - that's specific to creating offers, which you don't need to worry about as a beginner. PIN submits are ok to start with if you're promoting existing ones from affiliate networks.

Definitely have a read of the Mobile Cookbook, which will give you a step by step way to start, as well as the Getting Started Guide. They should help answer most of your questions.

And welcome to STM! We all started somewhere - read, learn, and you could be on the path to make a lot more than $500 / day!
