Hello!
I'm down about $22 in an asian dating campaign with 3 offers ranging $7-$8.30!
After blocking shitty subids i'm getting close to no traffic at all. Strange thing is, since Thursday I've gotten absolutely no traffic from my most promising source, it's as if i banned it without banning it...
Look at this beauty right here:
affid-rid: 81207-23_35_2427829149
ad clicks: 12
LP clickthroughs: 5
conversions: 1
LP CTR: 41.67%
Visit2Conversion: 8.3333%
ROI: 1066.67%
The referring domain is Click.blendernetworks.com , so it's from a referrer (rid) of a partner network (affid, just thinking out loud)
It's so shiny and promising meeeeh...
7S smartbid is supposed to give a bid giving me max coverage for each keyword, I'm #1 on it but no traffic from there is coming in, so unless the site died on it should display my ad. In blocked subids I have blocked 81207-71_450_425182289 (same affid as, but not "my precious")
I've blocked a lot of subids, yet none of the subids fully match the one I don't want to block.
So here's my questions:
1. Is it possible for 7S affs to block some or all rids I'm not really blocking, when I "sniper-block" shitty ones? Like if I block xxxx-yyyyyy it'd block a whole subset of xxxx-*, and not just -yyyyyy.
2. Expecting no absolute right answer + it depends on first question but here it is: The one little green source just died on me and the rest hasn't converted for me yet, should I continue the campaign yay or nay?
Seeing these glimpses of green makes me feel like a gold miner seeing glimpses of gold! : D
Dont get too excited about the source, 1 conversions means absolutely nothing, it might be some desperate surfer, coincidence, wrongly reported click etc ... once you run some volume, you will be getting random conversions from small sources, but thats not exactly what you wanna target, as its impossible to optimize them in any way. Of course you can and will have campaigns where small sources like this will give you insane ROI, thats why its important to be easy with the block hammer and not to block every source that doesnt look super good from the begining, you want these small sources to stay in the game. But really, its nothing to write home about as of yet
Im not exactly sure how blocking works in 7search, but the algo of some networks kinda puts campaings to "sleep" when you optimize too much, so maybe thats the case here too. But there might be different reasons for this : the source might be gone now, expired domain, no longer using 7search ... but looks like it is really some small ad network that was/is reselling their traffic to 7search. Forget it and move on.
