Hello! This is mainly for practice and feedback, it might work! I'm trying to implement as much of all the stuff I've read on here as possible.
I've picked out three offers from PeerFly:
Offer 1: Christmas! Totally Free: KitchenAid (US) $2.75 payout
Offer 2: $500 Kohl's Gift Card Christmas $0.80 payout
Offer 3: Christmas! $100 Toys R Us Gift Card Giveaway (US) $2.75 payout
Current "guess" on the target demographic is families, coupon clipping bargain hunting moms.
7Search ad -> Landing page -> Offer
Landing Outline:
Page 1: Catchy headline
"info"
question: Are you over 18 years old? -> Page 2
Page 2: Do you want to save at least $100 for christmas? YES -> Page 3
Page 3: Do you have children?
YES -> (2) offer(s) remaining: Offer 2 & Offer 3 + greyed out Scooter and Drone +
NO -> (2) offer(s) remaining: Offer 1 & Offer 2 + greyed out iPad

I wrote 5 different ad copy headers and texts, mixed and matched and ended up at this:
Is Your Wallet "In Danger" For Christmas?
Spoil Yourself Or Your Family AND Save Your Wallet! (3) Out Of 5 Giveaways Remaining! Hurry Up And Click Here To Claim Yours ASAP!
http://www.christmas-giveaways.com
I picked christmas-related penny click keywords and paused the >=0.05 ones, I'll run it overnight and see how it goes.
Update:
Penny bids were simply too low, upped them all to $0.02 and enabled the $0.05 bids.
No conversions yet, though i'm ecstatic because of my first conversion on another 7S multi-offer dating campaign!!! : D

Strictly speaking there's not enough data to block shitty subID's but I found this looking through affid-rid + actual referring domain:
65285-7881_92
Biug.hiokis.net
Jgck.2020cannibus.co
Utyc.srikamakshicarehospital.com
Vppi.financeforexfb.info
72429-8050
Lmbe.weddingdailytimes.com
Wiun.shrisharmaitsociety.com
Liew.barkville.tv
Fona.filehost.mobi
72863-s87113
Vmuxlzd.cf
Ohyr.blockpay.co
W6wm.projectxgames.com
Ypdo.visionariestoastmasters.com
All similar shitty auto-generated sites under these affid-rid, block! With only 12 clicks that leaves out close to all of them, I found only one "legit" looking site among the referrers.
There will be a lot of poor sources on 7search, there is some % of crap every where and sooner or later you will learn how to identify the blatant crap
You might be a bit late with christmas campaigns, but you never know when you catch the late shoppers
I would work on the landers a bit tho, what I see there is pretty poorly designed, the gift photos are small with unreadable texts... use bigger pics or optimize them better.
Not a bad start anyways, its good you took action as thats the only way to actually learn something
Thank you for the feedback! Just updated the landing page, less clutter, more space, a bit bigger/higher res images and google-link style text on buttons.

Still no conversions, LP has had 0% CTR over 50-60ish clicks probably due to the things pointed out, hopefully it'll be much better in the morning! : D

Hey man, nice thread, il follow along, because i had this same idea just 2 days ago and now i see it here
anyway my strategy would have another twist, but how is it with 7search traffic ?? Looking forward for some updates perhaps we can come up with suggestions.
By the way when you do PPV how do you know what websites to pick as a target. i mean how do you know if they display ads from a certain network or not?
Good luck with the campaign lets see a positive ROI.
2 clickthroughs out of 135 visits to LP! 0 conversions
Looked through ref-domains and subids, found some more:
65285-8923_30001972
75544-18632370
71603-2377244_12
65285-8923_30001972
Not blocking them due to statistics, but there's a very clear trend in the domains, either it's a 404 or they are bloated with random keywords, ISBN no's and shit like that : D No good actual human made human readable content.
OTOH I know better the audience of the "legit" sites within reach:
http://www.partycurrent.com/
http://www.theholidayspot.com/
http://www.cowcountryhousewife.com/
http://www.craft-craft.net/
http://hispanic-culture-online.com/
Homemade-gifts-made-easy.com
http://www.diva-girl-parties-and-stuff.com/
Women with kids, craft and cooking, coupon clipping maybe, maybe not i can't really tell from the sites. Traffic should be pretty cheap now that all the BS so far is cut out.
Still no conversions, but the demographic is still more clear. What
Total clicks: 174, clickthroughs to offer: 2
Even though campaign has given 0% ROI it's been a cheap $9 lesson in tracking and subid blocking.
Pausing it for tonight, tomorrow i'll see if i can find info to start "deep tracking" my landing page with
Now people do get to the landing page but the offers (or presentation of offers) don't appeal to them, and my tracking doesn't show how "deep in" people get... The people who do click must be interested in saving money for christmas since that's my angle that made them click the ad in the first place, but the offers don't appeal to them still. Unless i'm missing something, after all i'm not super experienced with this.
No go, decided to scrap it. Started out with a bunch of keywords, after peeling away the bs sites, the remaining demographic was a different than expected.
My guess on why it failed: the angle did apply to the demographic, but the offers didn't "align" with their interests as much. Knowing which endpoint of the landing page each user ends up on would also be extremely helpful in narrowing down where it might make sense to change the offer / presentation of offer. Christmas is really close and it might (or might not) be too late. Still don't really know if this could've been turned around. I get a fresh start with new campaigns. Despite this "failing" it doesn't feel like gambling doing this anymore, i could've picked a better offer, designed a better lander, wrote better copy, other keywords, other angle and so on, and the problem probably was related to the offer since people did click the ad, but not the offer.
Sometimes its really the best to let it be and restart with a completely different campaign and this sounds like its the case
You learned something from this camp and thats the good thing. Now use the knowledge and do exactly as you said : pick a better offer, make a better lander ... BTW : the offer might have been good, 7search really isnt the benchmark source for high quality traffic
