2015 is Almost Over! What are You Proud Of? What Are YOUR New Year's Resolutions for 2016?

It is hard to believe that this year is almost over. It has certainly been a crazy 12 months that flew by in the blink of an eye.

Now it's time to wrap up 2015 and welcome in 2016!

So, fire away!

1. What are you most proud of from 2015?

and

2. What are your new year's resolutions for 2016?

Damn, was this a crazy year Don't even know where to start ...

I'm not sure these are things to be proud of, but I'm glad I did some of them and I'm happy about the results

First of all, I finally left my shell and attented a few industry events and started to meet people and network a bit. I always prefered to stay hidden behind my monitor but I guess it was time to change that
I'm happy that my team finally works the way it should, it's just 4 people for now but it certainly helps me to get things done. Its also nice to realize that our revenue finally passed the $1.000.000 mark in 2015 alone.
Since I believe in giving back to the community, I decided to help people on this forum more than before, and even thou its really time consuming at times, I'm also glad I accepted the challenge of becoming a Moderator.
And lastly, I finally quit smoking, hopefully this time its final

And plans for the year 2016? Hopefully, we can grow our biz some more, I would also like to travel more with my family and meet more people from the biz.

Who's next?

1. 2015 was the year my old coworkers and I decided to partner & form our own affiliate team to do this together as one. Some of us were affiliates already but never with partners. 2 heads are always better than one and it's even better when it's multiple business partners working just as hard as you. I'm really proud of what we put together.

2. Our 2016 resolution is to keep growing & growing. We all plan on attending a lot more STM shows :-)

2015: After having just one mobile campaign under my belt, with 4 conversions! I left my career of over 18 years to give AM a go full time as it really grabbed at my attention. All or nothing now, 6 months to get it profitable (2 months in so far!)

2016: Keep at AM, get more defined on the paths that will make me profitable, release the information product idea I've got and push them as hard as possible. Networking more with people too and getting to a few events.

I've decided I'm never going back to the corporate world, I like living a life without an alarm going off in the morning so it's balls deep and making this work until it clicks Just under 4 months left to get to a level where I can pay my mortgage and bills!

2015: Hit $3k/day revenue 3 weeks in.

2016: Hit $100k/mo in profit. Build a real business with sell-able assets and hyper-growth.

Those are some pretty impressive accomplishment in just 12 months.

And you have been just killing it as STM's newest Moderator!

2015: Diversified the company income, so its now much more stable and not reliant on 1 major source. Reorganized 80% of the company from pyramid structure to 7-8 small teams.
2016: Finishing the company reorganization, entering 1 new major vertical, accelerate expansion into other countries. Financially the end goal is to double the revenue and triple the profit in Dec 2016, compared to Dec 2015.

What about you cmdeal ? (2015, 2016) ?

2015: launched my first campaign in late 2015 and really learned a lot
2016:
- find more time to launch more campaigns in shorter period by getting up at 5am , working in the evenings and outsourcing.
- finding a coach / mentor (or the next best thing is following an in-depth course / workshop)
- consistently creating, optimizing and maintaining xxxx campaigns. I will quit my job when i can do this for 2 months in a row.

2015 and -- especially the last quarter -- was crazy in more ways than I can describe.

As for new year's resolutions, it seems to be always the same for the past 2-3 years ... travel less, spend more time at home with family, and get into better shape. These are interrelated to a certain extant, and unfortunately, I seem to be doing a worse and worse job on these over the past few years.

1. What are you most proud of from 2015?

Evolving from being a solo affiliate to build a portfolio of successful companies. Two of the major factors for success were partnering up with amazing people (all introduced through STM), and applying all the skills I learned being an affiliate for the past 8 years.

2. What are your new year's resolutions for 2016?

One of mine that has been the same for the past 3 years, "make myself uncomfortable". I have been applying this in every aspect of my life, and it's been bringing me a lot of life satisfaction. I know a lot of people preach having very specific targets/goals as resolutions, but focusing on shifting my mindset has allowed me to achieve things that I would of never of set as a realistic new year's resolution.

1. What are you most proud of from 2015?

This year has been amazing for me and it's hard to pick just 1 accomplishment which stands out, because there are a few...
- I've met an amazing partner and we now do all mediabuying together. We've done crazy numbers and within a year we have a team of 12 people and still growing.
- A company I own with coupon/voucher websites has been featured in a documentary about online shopping on national TV, this has given us a tremendous boost in traffic, revenue and contacts. Very proud of the team (8 FTE)
- I've invested into a startup related to affiliate marketing which has done well over 7 figures this year
- Being able to participate in a panel at the first Affiliate World Conference in Bangkok

It's truly amazing what kind of opportunities this industry can bring you!

2. What are your new year's resolutions for 2016?

I want to focus on my personal development a lot in every aspect in 2016. This means I want to get in a better shape, eat more healthy and last but not least I want to buy a house. The last part I've been saying for years already, the problem has always been that I never knew where I want to live. I've decided now that I'm going to find a house which I'll see as an investment, if I do not like it I'll just rent it out.

2015: Took me a while to think of something. Not giving up. So easy to feel sorry for yourself when you can't make something work. After my 2014-2015 campaigns died out, I lost probably 10k testing one particular campaign over the course of a year, the most amount of time and money I've ever spent on testing something to see negative results. Had a a few days of $1000 spent on it with few or no conversions. I finally made it work in 2015, and it has carried me through the year.

2016: Move to SoCal. Systemize my daily grind. Travel abroad. Build the next big thing.

Some amazing entries in this thread... cmdeal you got me curious now about your last 3 months!

2015: Best year of my life to date, I managed to make my online income a stable monthly stream of 20 to 40k net per month, finally evened out the peaks and valleys a bit... that was almost completely passive with my team running the show so I just had a blast, traveling all over the place and checking up on things for 30 minutes a day... traveled as much as I did back in my 20s, except back then I was broke and read the "Lonely Planet" to find those ultra cheap hostel dorms and 3rd class train tickets and street food... this time I did it in style, nice hotels, great food, lots of hot girls, even some first class flights... had a serious blast!

2016: You probably saw this coming from the first paragraph, but all this slacking didn't help my income that much, went way down compared to what it was, Now netting only 12 to 15k per month... to be fair it's not entirely due to the laziness as everyone in my industry is struggling right now including all my JV partners / affiliates... also and I have no regrets, it was the best year of my life for sure... But yeah 2016 the plan is to grow the income back to what it was at it's peak, then grow a bit more from there to 6 figures net per month, and then make it solid and stable... so that sweet taste of the good life I had this year will last forever... That's driving me like the spores a horse!
