I have an incredibly difficult time with trying to come up with angles for some offers. For example if I wanted to promote an offer such as Uber Gift-card how would I go about doing this? I'm just getting stuck at the brainstorming phase of this offer. After going through the tutorial for creating at least 21 angles by Caurmen I'm still stuck so for this particular offer this is what I've come up with so far. If you sign up you get a $50 gift card for your next ride with Uber!
1.) Explain what your product does in its simplest terms? Get a reliable ride in mins no long ques or waiting times at the taxi-rank or the bus stop. Your next destination is only a click away.
This is the bit where I get a stuck at
2) Choose 2 of its features, and for each feature, explain the benefit. "Padded leather seats" is a feature. "Comfortable for long drives" is a benefit - it's the positive result of a feature.
Get an affordable ride with a tap of a button. It's convenient easy to use and you don't need to carry spare change
Fast response times. You don't have to wait very long unlike a traditional taxi
Could anyone shed some helpful pointers on how I could do this? I've already answered this in the first questions. I can't really think of any features at the minute apart form the ones I've come up with.
I don't how to answer this one.
3) Think of 2 groups of people who might use it: "kids bored at school" might be one example for a game, "lonely 40-something divorcee" might be one for a dating site. Write a specific angle targeting just them for each group.
I would suggest you purchase the books cashvertising, and ogilvy on advertising to kickstart your mind to think this way.
Angles (i believe) are the most important aspect of affiliate marketing, so its worth a lot of time and effort to be able to come up with ones on your own.
In fact, the reason Facebook is so hard on affiliates, is because 99% of affiliates just simply rip/copy everyone else...facebook has a machine-learning (aka AI) algorithm, which automatically detects similar verbiage/imagery in ads, figures they are value-sucks as opposed to value-adds, and thats why so many people see bans.
Possibly the best blog to read, that goes over plenty of angles and stuff, are old posts from the forum owners old blog http://www.mrgreen.am/
I hope that helps!
