Journaling (daily) progress question

Hi,

I know its very important to journal your progress but is there a template that i can use? what do i journal? Do you only track the most important metrics like:

Total Spend
Total Revenue
Average banner CTR
Highest banner CTR
Average conversion rate
EPC
EPV
Best performing creative
Best performing landing page
Best performing offer
Notes

I would like to hear how you guys journal your progress

I don't know how other people do it. Personally I don't download all my data and store them. I usually leave them in the tracker, unless I need to do mass calculations on the data, such as plug all the data into the stats spreadsheet calculator to determine which placements to cut.

What I DO put in my campaign journal - and I have one for every campaign I run - are things such as the following:

-How much I'm bidding (and I'll also record when I change the bid to something else and what the amount is)
-Results of split-tests and which candidates I cut (offers/landers/banners/placements/devices/etc.etc.etc.)
-Any insight / observations I think will help me in the future

And of course I start each journal entry with the current date, so I can keep track of when I took each action, and why.

This may not be the best way, but for better or worse, this is MY way and it works for me. At the end of the day, everyone will do things differently. Just start recording SOMETHING, and over time you'll change your way of doing things to suit your needs better and better.

This is a fantastic question and I'd be interested in hearing about how the pros are doing it!
