Question About 50onred? (52)

Question About 50onred?

Anyone else have the problem where if you get a certain amount of clicks such as over 500 and you have a frequency cap set at 1 every 4 weeks and as you start to reach 1000 clicks your LP ctr is dropping pretty steadily, any idea whats causing that?

09-16-2011 08:22 AM #2 dario (Member)

I have the suspect that their user base is really small.
How did you manage to get so many clicks ?

I got 0 clicks in 3 days (since when i joined them) for US keywords like "watch movies" or "payday loans" and even "ipad2" in BR

09-16-2011 09:00 PM #3 jroes57 (Member)

Im using similar keywords, i get traffic no problem. Maybe the users arent even clicking your ads?

09-16-2011 09:12 PM #4 dario (Member)

Hi Jroes
The only traffic i got was when i set a $1 bid for the generic keyword "acne" just for test

I'm trying to bid lower honestly, like 0.50
else i don't see how i can run something profitable here
But a lower bid brought 0 visitors atm

What do you think ?

I can't answer to this because looking at the report i can't tell if i got any impression and 0 clicks or no impressions at all.

Have you used text link traffic before? Have you tried general keywords like email, contact, survey, deals? I mean the volume is there, are you in number 2 for your keywords or number 1?

09-16-2011 09:28 PM #6 dario (Member)

This is my 1st intext account
I'm always bidding for 1st position

09-16-2011 09:34 PM #7 jroes57 (Member)

Try adding a tons of general keywords in your campaign and see if you get clicks. Im spending 3-400 a day with them.

in-text traffic sucks and affiliate marketing is dead ;-) sent you a pm jroes

I thank you for you intext business :P

We run 50onRed in our toolbar product so some of the traffic you're buying is mine, Thanks

What's the name of this toolbar ?

09-17-2011 08:49 PM #12 jroes57 (Member)

It's not just one toolbar they have a crapton they monetize. Have you gotten any clicks today? What are some keywords your bidding on?

yes, 12 US clicks for "watch movies",
i had to set the CPC over 0.15 otherwise i wouldn't have got these few clicks neither

or 7 FR clicks for "jeux gratuits", which is a little less expensive (0.11 CPC)

CPA is not profitable atm, to have any ROI probably i should go CPS instead.

Do you direct link from your intext link ?
I mean, you can use a very informative creative (pic, and a lot of text) or do you prefer to use their direct intext link to your landing pages ?

09-19-2011 10:51 PM #14 jroes57 (Member)

Im running a mixture of hovers and just Direct Linking, Maybe they just dont have volume for watch movies? Try broader keywords.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but does anyone know what the minimum deposit is at 50onred? Thanks.

09-26-2011 07:10 PM #16 403flux (Member)

I believe the minimum deposit is $500

09-26-2011 07:11 PM #17 bbrock32 (Administrator)

Yup , it's $500.

I expected the min bid to be much lower honestly.

09-28-2011 05:03 AM #20 jroes57 (Member)

Why would you expected the minimum to be a lot lower? It keeps people out that are afraid to spend their money. The other text link advertising network that I see as a competitor is TV and they are 1k deposit to start.

Are you talking about the min. deposit ? I'm talking about the min. bid in order to get volume for not-so-competitive keywords and countries

09-28-2011 01:58 PM #22 jroes57 (Member)

Well I mean if you don't like it there's not much you can do about it. Either make it work or create your own text link networks. I don't like it either

09-28-2011 09:54 PM #23 canopus (Member)

I just deposited $500 to try them out - should be interesting!

09-30-2011 08:28 PM #24 jlang (Member)

They have a lot of intl inventory. Contact your rep, they'll be able to help you.

Does anyone have a rep contact?

10-02-2011 09:10 PM #26 PhilipShapiro (Member)

Has anybody seen any click discrepancies using 50onred?

10-03-2011 03:53 AM #27 jroes57 (Member)

Haven't seen any major click discrepancies and Ive spent xx,xxx with them.

10-03-2011 08:10 AM #28 tijn (Moderator)

Thanks for that jroes57 - i tried them out about 7 weeks ago and really struggled to spend more the like $9 on a single campaign with about 250 single work keywords. Granted it was international, but still, there was just not enough traffic.

Are you able to scale decently?

10-03-2011 03:43 PM #29 jroes57 (Member)

I was mainly running in USA. Broad campaigns work better then going niche, cause you have no volume that way. But lately I haven't been able to spend anything for the past 3 days, don't know whats going on.

10-04-2011 09:35 AM #30 tijn (Moderator)

Thats the thing about the platform - there is only 1 way to get the traffic and that is to outbid the competition.

10-04-2011 08:26 PM #31 gobig (Member)

lmao you spent xx,xxx with them? I find that kinda hard to believe considering I haven't been able to spend more than $25 in a day across a couple really broad international campaigns...But I guess if you're promoting mainly US offers there is A LOT more volume. I did a prepaid credit card offer and got tons of clicks in the US but no conversions. There just hasn't been enough volume for my campaigns to justify the time spent setting it up (and constantly having to increase bids to get any traffic). For me it hasn't been worth it, although I saw some promising results at first that quickly died out.

10-04-2011 09:04 PM #32 jroes57 (Member)

Heres the proof:

I stopped running the conversion tracking. Intl has about the same volume as USA.

10-04-2011 11:04 PM #33 tijn (Moderator)

Nice numbers. Whats the difference between Sept and Oct? Ie - same campaigns/keywords but traffic dried up (more competition) ?

10-04-2011 11:17 PM #34 jroes57 (Member)

Well they stopped selling me traffic but now it's back

10-04-2011 11:38 PM #35 tijn (Moderator)

What do you mean they stopped? Was it something personal or did they not like the stuff you were running?

10-05-2011 04:42 AM #36 jroes57 (Member)

Honestly I don't know, traffic just stopped and then it started flowing again. But everything is on pause, need to optimize it all.

10-05-2011 06:33 AM #37 gduggal ()

I started a week ago. Been spending about $25 / day, but making closer to $75 / day. So very good quality traffic for sure, but the conversions have dropped in the last couple of days to about break even. Gotta tweak and see what happens

10-05-2011 08:21 AM #38 Mr Green (Administrator)

I gotta check out this source. Good shit jroes, always good to be a pioneer.

bad form but i guess they hit their cap

10-06-2011 05:48 PM #43 nick (Member)

Unless it's because you already had an account. I'm assuming the coupons are for new users only.

10-06-2011 05:53 PM #44 clickez (Member)

I just contacted them and they said it would be added once you spent $500 with them.

10-06-2011 06:59 PM #45 jroes57 (Member)

Wow, they told me that since I wasn't at ASE I couldn't get the credit.

10-06-2011 07:53 PM #46 heavyt (Senior Member)

traffic is there, you just gotta think outside the box, and coupons are for new accounts only.

Just use the link provided by Epic. That should still work. I think someone posted it earlier.

10-06-2011 10:23 PM #48 clickez (Member)

Thats some nice ROI! LOL

Just opening account now. Looking forward to trying them out.
